Pros: Friendly staff, spacious, clean pool and good variety of equipment.
Cons :Water fountain had been scheduled for maintenance for months. The mats are worn and sometimes shereded in half. The microphone for group exercise classes is faulty. If you need hand sanitizer you need to go to the front desk. Equipment cleaner are not easily. accessible

Even though this gym has all of the basics, it lacks cleanliness and organization. When I go in the mornings, and mind you I arrive as soon as it opens, a lot of the weights aren't racked, there are empty water bottles laying around, and equipment isn't put away. My assumption is that the night crew doesn't do anything before they leave, which shocks me because a gym should aim to stay clean and organized. I understand that I don't pay an insane monthly fee like some of the other gyms charge, but have some respect for your customers. Make them feel welcome and take some pride in the appearance and condition of your gym.
Great club. Still need to update a few things. But they'll get there.....
Great workout! The instructors are very attentive, detailed, and give you a fantastic full body session. It is one of my favorite gyms in the city.
Dirty and didnt cancel my account even after i came in told them cancel it, they still charged me next month, total waste of my time!
Sales staff were completely without knowledge of their own policies and have internal policies contradicting those on their website. Sales manager Eldon was rude and contradicted representations made by his own staff. The facilities are rundown, and the locker rooms are gross.

Literally has everything you need. Not sure what people are complaining about... I've gone to this gym 5+ days a week for over a year and the locker rooms have never been "filthy". They look like regular locker rooms. Yeah sure there's a couple maintence issues here and there... but that's pretty NORMAL for a building. I've gone to the XSport nearby this location... okay sure they're "cleaner" and look "newer" but they don't have as much [weightlifting] equipment as this LA fitness. All the staff is great too. If you're looking for a normal gym, come here. If you're a princess who needs a clean and spotless gym, maybe go to XSport.

Gross facilities and a locker room that should be condemned by the health department. Equipment is okay functionally but is dirty. Cancellation policy is ridiculous and intentionally designed to be difficult. You either have go on location or mail in a physical form. I was a member at xSport nearby and got much newer and cleaner facilities for basically the same price.

very pushy sales staff, really easy to sign up, but extremely difficult to cancel. No electronic cancellation, need to print and mail a form that can only be received via phone call.
Decent installations, price and friendly staff. Pool, sauna, drinks available track, nice neighborhood and a sandbag.
Honestly, this is my least favorite LA Fitness to go to. The locker rooms are super outdated and not well kept when I went. The gym, to me, is sparse and not well maintained. If LA Fitness is your gym, there are better locations for you to go to.

Great variety of equipment, friendly staff, easy parking. Lockers and toilets could use a renovation, and they could do a much better job of controlling what's playing on the Tvs, especially in regards to sporting events. Otherwise very happy with the place.

It's an average low budget gym. I like it much better than fitness 19 across the street because it's more spacious. They have some old machines and some new ones. Locker rooms are like an old school high school locker room- pretty beaten up but work just fine. You need to bring your own lock and towel (low budget gym standard) but they do have small lockers with codes for valuables. They have plenty of machines so you don't have to wait even during peak hours. Staff is fine, not rude nor helpful. Just kinda there

Good amenities. Good staff. Lots of equipment and classes. Pool/hot tub/sauna.
Mix of old and new equipment that is not always cleaned thoroughly. TVs near the cardio area play variety of channels. The occasional gym rat grunts near free weights that are unorganized. Early 00s decor is pretty rad! "Not that bad for $30 a month. It has a pool" - My Friend.
Definitely not the cleanest. Avoid the women's locker room! Machines are pretty gross and old, too. But there are a ton of treadmills and the staff is OK.
Overlooks the skyline and is NEVER crowded. I was recommended to this gym by two different xsport members. Clearly it's the better option.
This gym has the nicest view of all the LA fitness gyms i've been to in Illinois. The staff are very nice and friendly, but the gym needs a cafeteria for protein shakes, and some equipments on the second floor needs to be updated, like the rusty equipments and some more shoulder press chairs and other stuff needs to be added. But it's a nice gym, in a good location. :)
Pros: Gym is large and has a lot of machines, a pool, cycling studio, etc. I like the staff, they're really friendly overall. Easy to get to since it's located near bus stops and not too far from the L. Cons: definitely not the cleanest gym both in the workout area and locker rooms. Some of the equipment is old and on the verge of breaking. Can usually get onto a cardio machine with no problem, but weight areas are super crowded most of the time and the dumbbells are all over the place/not in order. Would recommend for people who are looking for an affordable gym with lots of options.
Very big...I love that this location has many levels and sooooo many different options for working out...Why go anywhere else? It's also surrounded by plenty of stores to conveniently stock up on supplies, supplements, or even groceries.
I've been a member for about 6 months. It is an average gym. If you are looking for a poshy place to leisurely spend some time, this is not for you. They definitely put functionality over beauty. The machines are relatively new, and the sauna is wonderful. I have never had any issues with the women's locker room or theft or anything along those.Every time I walk in to the gym the staff member says "Hi", and there is always someone there to scan my card. Honestly, that is all I want from staff members at the gym. Anything more would aggravate me. I actually despise having my workout interrupted by anything less than a fire/tornado/zombie apocalypse. I have been interrupted by a staff member about their personal training classes (and he left as soon as I said "please leave"), and once by an other member who didn't check my left hand for the engagement ring.
It gets busy at times, but I have never found myself in a situation where there was nothing I could do. I have also never had any issues with people not putting weights away. Honestly, this is not a luxury spa; it is a perfectly fine, perfectly functioning, basic gym.
