Great place for practice.

In my opinion, one of the best yoga studio in the city. Excellence and innovation teachers, in a beautiful place, with good vibe. Variety in the type of classes. Personally Saturday and Sunday morning classes are my favorite ones.

This studio is awesome and Chris is a fantastic instructor. I left class feeling super happy and relaxed

They have only the best instructors and dynamic practices. Something for every level, any mood. Super clean and very modern. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Unfortunately level 1 yoga here is probably equivalent to level 2 at other studios. Lots of focus on inversions, which probably isn't great for those of us who use yoga mainly as a supplement to other athletics to build flexibility and avoid injury.

I have been to dozens of yoga studios in the city, and this is my favorite by far. I just joined two months ago, and I have learned more in the last two months than in my entire last year doing yoga at other places. This studio is serious about getting you to improve in your practice. The instructors take you through new, different, and exciting poses/variations each class. It is never boring! I truly feel like I walk away from each class with a new skill. I am so happy that I found this place!!!

Fortunately level 1 yoga is equivalent to level 2!!!!! Hardest yoga workout ever! Great for people who work hard and don't have a lot of time to work out - every second is worth it; you leave exhausted. I thought yoga wasn't for me, until I went to the lab!

I started going to The Lab about 1.5 years ago upon signing up for a Groupon, 10 classes for $20. Amazing deal! I'd never done yoga before and also lived in the suburbs. From the pictures I'd seen of the studio I had fallen in love with it.

I go pretty regularly on Sunday mornings at 10 am with Soren as my instructor. I absolutely love her. The class is described as Level 1-2, but really is a Level 2. Fortunately, the class size is usually under 15 and Soren is fantastic about showing modifications and she's always good about walking around repositioning your body into correct form. I've been to many yoga studios and I can honestly say, you will not get the individual attention like you do at The Lab. And you'll walk out of class feeling like you've really worked hard and motivated to come back to another class to conquer a new pose.

For one year I traveled 30 miles to this studio and now I've moved into the Lakeview neighborhood. I could easily go to other studios near me, but I will always continue to go to The Lab and recruit my friends as well.

Through a partnership with Lululemon, I was able to attend a Yoga & Vino event here. I liked that they had a locker room of sorts so you could keep your non-yoga items out of your practice space. The class I took here was non-traditional in that we did not begin with sun salutations. After we were warmed up, the instructor walked us through a series of challenge poses. She broke down these 'intermediate-level' poses, such as side crow or titibasana, into digestible pieces so it was easier to understand what you should focus on and what you should feel while attempting. There were many assistants walking around helping with adjustments and challenging you to push yourself. It's about a half mile walk from the Morgan Green Line stop or a healthy walk from the Halsted bus which does't make it super easy to get to, but I would love to try another class here!

Unfortunately level 1 yoga here is probably equivalent to level 2 at other studios. Lots of focus on inversions, which probably isn't great for those of us who use yoga mainly as a supplement to other athletics to build flexibility and avoid injury.
