We love this place. Great exercise and so adorable.
I love this place. I can bring my German Shepard and he can exercise. Bought him several times and in the very beginning he didn't want to get in the water but eventually he did and learned to swim very quickly.
Now he loves to go swimming whenever we visit. The people here are very kind and you can tell they love these dogs. I highly recommend this place.
I read the negative reviews and some are frightening and concerning but some are just making a big deal out of nothing. There will always be people like that.
Just make sure you're always watching your dog and you can toss the toys they provide for your dog to go fetch. So be interactive with your dog. If something isn't going your way and you sense your dog is in danger, speak up and you can always just leave. I went here several times and had no problems with it.
Always be attentive no matter where you go with your dog.
Overall, my dog had plenty of exercise and fun. When we get back home, he is super sleepy and tired. Will definitely come back here many times.
My dog Fig LOVES LOVES LOVES Doggy Paddle. He has been going for several weeks now and he gets more excited every time he goes. He had never been swimming before we took him there, so was understandably hesitant (to say the least) about his first experience. But the instructors were kind, patient, and skilled, and before I knew it he was swimming like a champ. The exercise is great for him, wearing him out, burning a ton of calories, and keeping his mind and body active. I take him about twice a week and get such joy seeing my dog have so much fun. Thanks, Doggy Paddle! I'm so glad we found you.

We've introduced so many dogs to doggy paddle (Kirby, Sumo, Oscar, Linkin, Skippy, Kona, Snoop) Practically, EVERY dog we care for or friends dogs are members of this amazing facility! Sherry and Greg are amazing owners and super attentive to each dogs unique needs. Whether it be aggressive dogs, old dogs, hyper dogs they really work with you and your dog to ensure the best outcome and satisfaction for your day. Penny is the best front desk person and Splash 'n Play host EVER!!
Our Goldendoodles, Jack & Uno, love swimming at Doggy Paddle. We have found it helps Jack, 11, with his arthritis and keeps Uno, 7, active. The staff are very attentive and have worked with both of our boys to become better swimmers and they now love the water. I would highly recommend experiencing Doggy Paddle yourself, your dog is sure to thank you for it.

Our dog, Logan, was scared of trying to swim, so we used a groupon and did a private lesson. It was great and Logan picked it up immediately. The indoor dog park area is really nice as well.
Doggy Paddle is an amazing place for dogs. The owners have created a very fun, safe, and clean place for dogs in Chicago, unlike the uncontrolled, crowed, dirty dog parks and beaches.
My dog, Stanley is a black lab mix who LOVES to swim. We go three times a week to give this very active playful dog exercise and mental stimulation. The staff as Doggy Paddle know Stanley well and give him a big greeting every time we walk through the door. After 30 minutes of swimming, this guy is ready for short walk and a long nap every time. I cannot recommend Doggy Paddle more.

The staff is very supportive and really helped my dog take to swimming. It took until the third session for him to really start to figure it out. I highly recommend it - the swimming is great, they have a really clean indoor dog park, and the best part is he sleeps for about 6 hours after.

Was on my way to bring my dog here who is scared of water when I decided to do a quick google search and found out about a dog dying at this facility from being forced into the water and drowning. Do not bring your family pet to a place without trained professionals unless you're also willing to lose your pet to this place!

My dog and I love everything about this place! The staff is fantastic. The pool is great. And the indoor dog park is perfect; especially when you don't want to stand outside in the Chicago weather.
Attentive trainers and small swim class sizes make this an adorable and fun way to get your pup some exercise in the winter!

So much fun for pups. A great facility that is clean and the staff is wonderful with my shy dog and make sure that is healing well from her knee surgery.
Long story short, my dog was profiled for having balls. I get it; it's not cool to have an intact dog, but my dog is more mild mannered and better trained than most neutered dogs I've met. Also, if you're asking me to put my dog on a leash because you're worried about another dog being aggressive towards mine, why are you putting them in the same pool together?!! The lack of knowledge and enthusiasm for dogs' safety was very disconcerting. I hate giving bad reviews but I wouldn't feel confident recommending this place to anyone.
If my dog Barkley could type, he would spend all day expressing his love and appreciation for Doggy Paddle and their friendly and helpful staff. But he can't, so I'll do it for him now. This is - without a doubt - his favorite half-hour of the week. Not only is it his #1 activity, he's lost a few pounds and seems calmer throughout the week.
I have been to Doggy Paddle on many occasions. This place is amazing!!! Clean, orderly, and organized is an understatement. I can't believe how much fun and quality exercise the dogs are getting in and out of the pool. Love the experience. I would recommend that everyone give Doggy Paddle a try.

To all the dog lover like myself, I can only give you advise. Please do research of the people handling your pet's life. What would you do if your dog dies while swimming? Is the staff prepared for such thing? Are YOU prepared? The staff are not certified trainers or have any proper training.
I was there one night when a beautiful dog died, next to the pool, while the staff ran around not knowing what to do.
If you love dogs as much as I do, please make sure you know who's handling your pet's life.
Doggy Paddle is a awesome!!! My 5 yr old has arthritic joints but still plenty of energy so low impact exercise like swimming is perfect but was not available in a private setting until now...Thank you Doggy Paddle!!! Now my toy hoarder dog can go crazy and I can stay calm knowing he is in good hands. My other dog is a 5 yr old cattle dog and swimming is the only exercise that truly tires her out and again in a safe enclosed environment so I don't have to worry about her taking off like at the beach. Also no sandy clean up so win win win!!!!
