Tried to rent a room there, but the housing manager was a a-hole and beat around the bush too much. He needs to be replaced if you ask me.

I've been a YMCA member for a few weeks now. Overall I like the place for workouts. You get a nice discount for referrals and being at certain ages. The facility and equipment are old and have lost their shine, but they get the job done. Overall I haven't found a need for any more equipment. It's almost never too busy and I get to shoot around at the basketball court too. If you need a no thrills gym, then this is the place to go.

I've only been a member here for about a month. At 1st I had no issues with the facility or staff however there are a couple of staff members who need training with customer service when I originally started my membership here the staff members were wonderful particularly Elizabeth and emily left a great impression however during The past few times where I've had to call to ask questions because I did not know or was unsure certain policies the other staff members who ive spoke with come across condescending and a bit rude I'm hoping this will be improved but I feel as if complaints fall on deaf ears based on the reviews I see here not sure if we will be continuing membership here or not

The housing staff are lazy as hell just milking the ymca for their money. I was tossed around and played for months continually saying id get a room the following Monday... It's been 4 months. Not a single call. That guy has a some bad karma coming his way for playing with sensative needy lives like that. And before you get any ideas... I had nothing to give him a reason I didn't deserve a room. Not a single thing. Maybe I wasn't up to "his code".. Haha whatever that is. Grab another lunch box homie

The person at the front desk did not want to open an accout. Asked me to do online and turned me back. Wow. Scr*w this place

This is a great YMCA! It is much larger than it seems from the out side. I have worked here for a year now and it has been a great place to build skills and grow my career!

I've been coming here for the gym off an on for nearly a decade. I will say that in previous years there have been a much more extensive class offering with lots of variety in options and times of day. That aside, I absolutely love, love, love the zumba classes here. All of the instructors are so genuine, fun and inspiring.

I tend to go on Friday mornings for Stacie's class - lots of regulars and newbies alike so it's not intimidating at all. Everyone is very welcoming and it's so great to just dance. You seriously don't even feel like you're working out. I highly recommend this class!

The weight room and cardio rooms have all the machines I could ever want, there are a plethora of tvs, it's clean and never overly crowded. I send my kids to the Y Zone and they love it. Overall, for the price, it is incredibly reasonable.

Very unorganized, different employees every time you call to get information. Conflicting answers and much information is not given to next employee taking over a position, creating confusion and annoyance. Had to speak to four different employees in the same position. The final one was extremely rude and said it was my fault she didn't have the information when I had already communicated it to three different employees before her. Would rather drive out of my way to go to another YMCA.

Went for a couple months and it is the worst YMCA i've personally ever been to. The majority of the staff just sits there and does nothing. The workout areas are mediocre at best. The basketball court is a joke. A personal trainer there named Jeremy is not a very kind person to say the least.

The Chicago Metro YMCA is dismantling the maintenance department at the Lakeview YMCA, putting in jeporady the jobs of staff members who have been loyal to LV for years. It is a continuation of how poorly they treat their employees where line staff are undervalued and exmpt directors and Chicago Metro executives continue to line their pockets at the expense of those at the bottom of the pay scale.

This YMCA location has a confusing layout. Pool is very small.

Sucks now, used to be the place to go for old fashioned workout, and to be around older more experienced staff. The track is not considered posh enough to remain open, the environment is that of a daycare/nursery school, and nobody seems to know anything but to answer questions with another question. Sadly enough, this place is in the early stages of just another wealth club. Go to other locations.

Great staff, always friendly. Clean and safe. So many options to satisfy your exercise needs.

If you like doing sports you will feel totally perfect there. They have a basketball court, a pool and a great many training items. Before you use them you can read what regions of your body will be trained. For volunteers, which applies to me, they offer a 10$ membership, which is good

I've been a member of this YMCA branch for 18 years now and I have always been satisfied with the environment and programs offered. We started off by enrolling my sons in martial arts class, and we have been active members ever since. The staff is great, and the new additions to the facility have made it even better. We will be life time members and appreciate the community here.
