Let me start by saying that I've suffered from anxiety all of my life. When I find myself in new situations and around new people, I tend to immediately tense up, not make eye contact, and feel like everyone is judging me. Combine that with low self-confidence and a lack of physical health, and you'd have the perfect description of me 2 years ago.
Here I am today, full of confidence, socially competent, strong, and healthy. Still anxious, but with new found ways to deal.
You will find that you will get what you give in this studio. You'll learn how to take care of your body, mind, and soul while improving your posture, health, mental clarity, and more. With Lacey's instructions and extensive knowledge, you don't need machines in order to have a great workout. She'll show you even the tiniest moves that have HUGE results.
It's right off the bus line, brown line, and in a great neighborhood so you'll be with fellow commuters, 9-5-ers, and neighbors. They're everyday people who are friendly and welcoming. I don't feel judged, but I DO feel supported, happy, and on cloud 9 when I leave. Leave your ego at the door, crack a smile, and drop down and twerk in Booty Beat or DIVA, or stand up tall in 2ND position in Modern Barre, or feel your abs burming in Pilates. At the end of the day, melt away your stresses in a dimly lit yoga Glow class that will have you ready for bed in about an hour.
I can't tell you how happy I am that I made the decision to hold myself accountable, and become a member when I did. My life will never be the same (for the better.)
