Notorious was the first CrossFit gym my fiance and I joined. Forever grateful to the Notorious staff for their efforts in getting us started in this community!

I love this place. Crossfit Notorious has become my home away from home. Considering all the different boxes, these guys know how to treat members right. I personally know this. Other places just treat you like a membership not a member. Don't waste your time anywhere else. Come and try Crossfit Notorious you'll love it.

At most CrossFit gyms there is a certain level of camaraderie that comes with a high-paced team workout sessions. At Notorious the level of camaraderie is at a level never seen, you truly feel like family in such an organic way. Most days you look forward to interacting with the staff/ trainers which makes going to the gym much easier. Their knowledge, coaching, and guidance along with their attitude will make you want to stay. All around excellent from the equipment and attitude to the atmosphere that comes with all these qualities.

Crossfit Notorious is amazing. The coaches are knowledgeable, attentive and the community is great. I am a crossfit newbie, but everyone at CFN made me feel right at home!

The First Impression:
I've never tried crossfit, but I do workout regularly. I signed up for a class and the first one is free! That was a nice bonus. They let you walk in to any regular class that fits your schedule. When I walked into the gym not a single person acknowledged my presence. I thought I might need to check in somewhere before class started or something. Eventually the instructor saw my lost look and asked if I was there for a trial. I said yes, then he told me where the bathrooms were and where to wait.

The Workout:
The first section was a 10 minute warm-up with hanging, turkish get-ups, tricep stretches, and a few other things. The second section was 18 min where we did the same 3 exercises for one minute each, over and over until the 18 mins were up. The exercises? Rowing, Push Ups and Kettle Bell Swings. The third section was 3 different ab exercises 20 times each, three times. That was tough.

Overall:
They never asked if I had any injuries or health issues. Crossfit is supposed to be a really intense workout. You think they'd want to know that. Also, the workout as a whole was boring, not challenging or interesting. My classmates were polite if not a bit standoff-ish. One person went out of his way to say hi and good luck in my first class. That was nice. Everyone else avoided eye contact. No one was really motivated to work out. Most of the students didn't even finish the abs workout and the instructor was too busy socializing to care.

I would not recommend this box ESPECIALLY to someone who is new to working out. If I didn't know the movements / exercises I would have been completely lost.
