Big gym and parking lot! Totally renovated, all the machines and equipment are new. The trainer at this location, Rafael Valdez is one of the best!!! Not only training his clients, but willing to assist and support them when they need it most!!! Friendly staff, always working to keep this big gym clean and everything in its place. All of them together do a great job!!

This location is by far my favorite to go to in the early morning. Staff members Orlando and Fausto have always been super accommodating and helpful, going out of their way to make me feel welcome and wanted as a member of PF. Without them, I would not feel as safe as I do to come at the time I do. They have a lot of knowledge and are always willing to share. Awesome staff, clean facility, and always a great experience!

They fixed the smell isssue!! Came back here after a week and noticed staff was more active in cleaning pretty friendly too!! The only downside to this place is, no one cleans the machines here they just use it and go. They have so much space and such few workout machines a bit too scattered. Other than that the place is great!

Thank you for listening and now having educated TV news programming. I enjoy coming to your location and catching up on current events during my workout. My only wish is that it was 24/7.

Original Review (**): Not one of 20 TVs is on a major news network - EVER. They've got soaps, soaps en espanol, trashy talk shows, HSN and maybe sports. But if you like to catch up on national news (or any news) while you work out, you'll need to go to another PF location.

Great facilities and layout. Clean.

Used to love how spread out it all was, how you don't get too much in anyone's way when you work out, etc., but 2 months ago (it's now September 2018) they removed a great deal of equipment to put in a new branch, promising that OUR equipment would be replaced/upgraded with new stuff. 2 months in, while or treadmills/elliptical have been replaced, we still only have one set of each weight of dumbbells, one less Smith machine, several important machines we used to have are missing altogether, and STILL no barbell equipment, making weight lifting very impractical in this branch unless you like using machines. When you ask the staff about incoming equipment, they unenthusiastically repeat the company line, and you can tell they have no real timetable for receiving new weight equipment. The few things that were replaced took a long time to get here, and frankly, my patience is running thin. I know it's an inexpensive membership, but I don't like paying you my money, no matter how little, if I'm not getting the services I was promised when I signed up. Either replace the damn equipment, or you're going to start losing customers, starting with this one.

Ive been coming To this planet fitness atleast 4 years I love this place, the people that work there, even getting to know some of the patreons, that being said. Before the renovation it was awesome. After the renovation it sucks, REALLY SUCKS. Come on corporate why remove some of the most popular machines, including the weighted pull up bar, that place is the biggest planet fitness I've been, other words why not add more bench, towers, and bells and maybe you'll get more business. Not take them away.

There are a few things I like about this location. The location is always clean, the staff is nice, especially the club manager Junior Diaz. I always see Junior with a smile, I see him walking around the club making sure it is clean, making sure the paper towels are stocked and available for use. He know's a lot of members on a first name basis which says a lot. For a club manager and the responsibility it entitles Junior does a great job at it.

Disappointed. They just changed all the running machines to ones that are WORSE - no settings. Pull up machines have gone too. Not enough free weights. Before the renovation it was great. Why?? At least the staff remain really cool and it is clean.

Love that I can exercise in peace without being hassled or flirted with. Like the diversity as well. Staff is Great!!!

OMG!!!!! I really like going to the Planet Fitness. The gym is do clean, and the staff team are so polite and friendly always walking around checking to see how the members doing and if they need help with anything.... What a great gym I'm satisfied that I joined the Pulaski & Belmont location.

I love this planet fitness. Every time I go there, everyone is always so nice and very helpful. The people that go here are also very nice. I feel comfortable doing my workout without anyone bothering me. I go to the gym to workout not to flirt.

I love the staff.They are very friendly,helpful,active ,always ready to smile,to welcome,to clean and to help if its needed. This is the nicest,cleanest Planet Fitness i have ever been.Besides there are many cardio and regular,weight lifting equipments. Visitors are also friendly ,so it is a nice place to be .

This gym is the lower end of Chicagoland PFs I've used. The facility is too large for the number of staff, no one enforces the rules, machines are not kept up, and somehow there are never enough spay bottles and towels. Decent, but unimpressive.

me and my sister were there today and we found a tick crawling on the massage chairs... me and her along with another person there have it on video...told employee because we were absolutely disgusted and he just put a plastic bag over 1 chair and you can still see the tick crawling around. ..so messed up i liked this gym too but nope never again....osha needs to called asap...

It's good except the machines seem a little dirty are times. Other than that , it's never too crowded and there's plenty of machines.

I love that you do not have sales people following you around trying to upsell you like other facilities. If you ask for help they will. If you don't they'll let you be. All the machines and free weights you need to stay in shape.

The staff is very friendly and the place is kept clean. I find it a decent gym to go to. You're always greeted at the door when you come in and when you leave. There are plenty of places to work out alone or with a friend. The only thing that sucks is all the machines have iphone4 chargers imbedded into them.

Parking lot not very well lit. Wife's car was broken into at 6 pm on a Wednesday. Busy time at the gym. Window was busted open. No one seemed to hear it. Employees said they cannot review cctv footage. Been coming here since it opened and never had an issue but most likely won't return if we don't feel safe.

Employees always park in no parking zone. Someone is always in the handicapped spot without a placard. Not enough paper towels, spray bottles and trash cans.

The facility is very big and clean. I enjoyed the hydro massage. All staff is friendly, cedric helped a lot in telling me how to work the machines. If you want a membership ask for him!

Haircuts from HELL. Ok they say they give you a FREE Haircut if your a black member, NOTHING is FREE. I had setup an appt at this gym, which is not my main gym, because my main gym said they lost their barber. Well I hope they find him because this girl who started to cut my hair at Avondale is by FAR the worst hair stylist your ever going to meet and you will instantly say YES this feels like a FREE haircut..... Then as she starts to cut my hair. she accuses me of being late for the haircut and claims it was at 7.... Yet it was at 730....... So she tells me NEXT TIME she will not wait for me and I need to be on time. Yet I told her I was NOT late and she was wrong. Yet she goes on and on, and I instantly said STOP this horrible 1 star haircut. Then she has the nerve to start arguing in front of the rest of the clients and she admits when she goes to front desk that YES it was at 730 and she was wrong, BUT she continues to act like she has right to argue with me. YOUR FIRED. I will never be back to this horrible gym, its WAY WORSE then the other Planet Fitness on Belmont. The manager did nothing and I guess they dont know the client is always right. This horrific Planet Fitness person should be FIRED TODAY for no other reason that she is not a qualified barber and I would say Planet Fitness needs to get a real hair professional.

Great size gym, many options for cardio work outs. Has a decent amount of free weights. They do not upkeeo to broken machines as quickly. For instance, battle ropes were just placed and within 2 weeks one of them started to tear. The solution? Was to tie a knot on the rope. This kills the whole purpose of a good rope workout. A month later now both sets are damaged, we asked when they will be replaced and the staff has no clue. Just when we started to recommend people to come to this location things start to go down hill. Please upkeep your equipment!

This is a great gym for the value. While it doesn't have all the amenities of a top tier gym, if you're just looking for a good workout this does the job. Staff here are friendly, equipment is maintained well, and this truly is a judgment free zone. You won't have people bothering or hovering around you if you're at a machine for more than two minutes, or someone checking what weight you're lifting so they can make sure you see them lifting more. While I go a little later than the after-work crowd, I've hardly have ever had to wait to use the equipment I want to use. If you're just getting started, this is a great place.

The 30 minute circuit and 15 Ab circuit areas with the Green and Red lights to move to next machine is a great concept but the staff doesn't enforce the concept. So when a customer "plants" themselves in one machine within these areas you are not allowed to say anything directly to the individual but when you go to the front desk, this is the response you get "I'm sorry I'm the only person scheduled at the desk and I can not leave it." You definitely pay less but you also get less!

I've been to several different Planet Fitness locations around the country and this is by far the best. Particularly due to the quality of staff, especially the employee Martha. She is very polite, helpful and always keeps the gym very clean. The customer service is the main reason why I decided to make this my main/home gym of choice. I would highly recommend signing up at this location. Make sure to see Martha, she'll make sure you have a great experience!
