went into get detail on new membership 2 employees just sitting there talking so i had to do all of the talking. either one could had ask me if i wanted a tour of the place, no just go online and apply they both stated. didn't seem to friendly there to me so there will be no new membership there for me i'll just go back to LA Fitness.
I like going to Charter Fitness or North river side. Staff is always nice and helpful. Lulu is the person who has helped me the most when I have questions.
Lourdes is a great staff member! She is very kind and knowledgable when members ask questions about the facility! I also love that the gym is finally 24/7!
This gym is great for anyone who needs a good workout. The personal trainers are awesome and very experienced. Gym is clean. I also am excited to try some of the classes they are offering.
It's an ok gym. You get what you pay for right? I'm just in and out. Do what I got to do.
Most of the staff treat you with respect and dignity. Most of the staff are humble and kind. There's just this one guy, seems to think he's better than you. Outside of that, the facility is clean, easy to get to, fun to be at. Nobody will bother you, and most of the staff is ready and willing to help you with kindness.
WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER! I cancelled my membership August 11th because I was moving to Germany for school on August 12th (which is obviously more than 25 miles away). I show then my information with flight details and letter of acceptance and they provide me with a confirmation letter stating that I will no longer be charged. In the next few days as a begin to accommodate in Germany, I check my bank account only to find out that I was charged AGAIN. Also, that in order to cancel my membership I need to pay 60 dollars when the policy clearly states that if you move more than 25 miles away, the 60 dollar fee will be waived. Ohhh and somehow, I checked in to workout yesterday August 27th? When I am living in GERMANY! How in the world could I possibly be in two different continents at the same time? I have never in my life written a review for a company until this day. I feel so disappointed and frustrated because there is little I can do to get this resolved since I am living so far away. I will never again choose Charter Fitness, not worth the headaches and stress. Provided images for proof.

I cancelled my membership due to a douchy personal trainer harassing me after rejecting his bad advice multiple times. He is overweight and wears glasses, not hard to spot. Also, finding equipment can be problematic most weekdays. There is a limited amount of barbells, free weights, and space. I would not recommend this place if you are serious about lifting.

Avoid this gym. I just cancelled my membership. There is never any soap in the bathroom, they always run out of towels, they don't have paper towels yo wipe down machines, the locker room/bathroom smells terrible. I seriously would hold my breath and wash my hands as fast as possible. I am pretty sure I got a staff infection from this place because it is so incredibly unhygenic. I would have to complain to corporate on Facebook to get them to put soap in the bathrooms. Do NOT sign up for this gym.

Been a member for over 2 years and it's just been going down the drain. The gym might close real soon. Everything is out of order nothing ever gets fixed. Only one water fountain works. Several machines are broken. Broken mirrors for months. The lockers are disgusting. Nothing ever gets wiped. Only one soap dispenser in the guys washroom. Machines never get wiped. Staff is lazy Af. All they did was walk back and fourth to get towels and now they haven't had the towels out for a week. In more than 2 years I've been here they've never bought a new machine. They don't let you use the rooms or equipment in there. This gym is a joke. Only go here because it's so close to my house. Im changing gyms ASAP! I never write reviews!

Consistent, when it comes to the bad smell of urine in the locker room. Gym area is fine, staff is not the friendliest. Advice is to avoid the locker room all together.

I had my car window broken here two days ago and my purse was stolen. Please don't leave any belongings in car and watch your surroundings.
Only the first floor water fountain works. And everything is always dirty and sticky.
DO NOT GO HERE SCAM. They will lie to you when you try to cancel and keep charging your account. Avoid the hassle and just go somewhere else.
Staff is nice. Dirty, the water fountain doesnt work. But I mean it's ten bucks, and the equipment works, can't complain.
Terrible service, I wanted to cancel my gym membership, I had already finished 1 year contract and they said I still had to pay a $40 yearly fee I said ok whatever just cancel it, they wrote up some bs paper work and charged me 2 months now. Manager there was no help, I went to my bank to remove my card
i've been a member since 2014, and the service has diminished, no clean towels, dirty locker room, the water fountain it's been broken for more than a month, and the staff is not helpful.
Unlike other 10-20$ a month gym, this one you get less than what you pay for. I have gone to this gym at different points throughout a day and 9/10 times there are no clean towels. At least the kje responsibility of the staff is to keep clean towels especially on the busy hours but that's another bad part of the gym is the staff. The staff either ignores you or end up just talking to each other and forget to get the clean towels even after asking. Only reason I go here is because of location but as of recently it has gotten worse because of bow busy it gets, limited equipment and horrible staff.

With that said, the biggest problems include the cleanliness of the bathroom and lack of machines/variety of machines. I also think it's not fair to rope off 'training areas' when they are not being used by others just because you are not paying for personal training. The gym has an overall dour atmosphere and lacks inspired leadership to liven things up. I would not recommend this gym to someone and besides it being inexpensive and in a populated/convenient location it has no appeal.
Never any clean towels available. The staff needs to be on top of having available towels instead of just hanging out and talking by the front counter. One time I visited the gym the girl was talking to the same dude from the time I arrived to the time I left and never acknowledged anybody coming in and out of the gym.
All the front desk people suck, they dont say nothing to you as you walk in or leave. They are rude and are always talking to eachother and never putting towels for people that sweat alot. The only good ones were Israel and Jose imo.
Customer service sucks. Only one female employee who acknowledges you and says, "have a good workout" or "have a good day". all other employees don't say a word to you. Check in and there's always two employees who just stare at you while you check in without saying a word. Real awkward.
