I was in a 6 car pileup 3 and a half years ago which gave me chronic back pain ever since. Having just recently graduated from physical therapy, I started taking Pilates sessions at Body Awareness Studio to address the residual back pain.
I have been taking sessions with Leslie and Sara and have been elated at the elimination of chronic pain. Some of the Pilates stretches provide IMMEDIATE relief of my back tension, aka "the banana"... (LOVE!), and leave me with a big silly smile on my face. Having come from months of bi-weekly physical therapy sessions, and the general workforce, you see people multitasking all the time. It REALLY stands out how with each session with these instructors they maintain 100% focus on you and always check your alignment and ensure proper posture as you move through the exercises. I *LOVE* how Sara gets genuinely excited when I correct my form and meet her direction!! Pilates has introduced a way for me to exercise and stay in shape without involving impact that flares up my back. This place is truly great for my mind, body, and spirit!
