Great place yup workout with lots of variety in equipment. Nice pricing for all you get. Wrist they had a pool and steam room or sauna. My only complaint is when I signed up I don't remember being told that $40 would come out of my account within a month or two for the annual amount. It's $40yr plus $10 out $20 per month depending on the plan you take.

Planet Fitness is an awesome gym to get to that goal you've always wanted to get to. There are various amounts of machines and accommodations. There are enough machines for you to get a try at any of them. If you are new to the gym, there are machines that will make the workouts a little easier. People respect the "clean up after yourself" rule and keep the machines clean. This is a good spot for getting your fitness in without getting judged or looked at weirdly. #NOCRITICS

I've been going here since they opened in 2012 and definitely recommend it highly.

Pros: the weight machines were recently upgraded, most machines are in good working order, things are generally clean and the staff is very nice.

Cons: the shower stalls could use some maintenance (the shower head in the handicapped stall has been off for a month or 2 and the soap dispensers in the shower stalls are no longer there), there are no hydro massage chairs/beds like there are at other PF locations (like Warner Robins.)

This is an AWESOME place to work out. The staff is so friendly & helpful. We LOVE the fact that it is being a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE. So many workouts you can do.

This location has improved a lot since I first came 2 years ago...the tanning equipment, however, is STILL outdated level one...favorite equipment though and tvs on all treadmills.. locker rooms are much nicer, and showers are small but hot...better but still needs some work...i travel the country and been to countless gyms and never see that level of tanning besides Warner Robbins and here....but. ice improvements Macon :)

This is the perfect place to work out here in Macon.It's always clean, organized and you have a lot of equipments to use. Friendly staff and above all, the Club Manager (Mr. TJ) is very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I am happy to be a member of Planet Fitness - Macon.

Edit: Regarding the reply, when I asked to speak with a manager the day of the incident, the employee denied my request. I will not be returning to this location for any reason.

TL;DR - This is a corporate gym that will lie to you to get your money. Find a locally-owned gym. It's worth the extra expense.

I was a member of the Macon, GA location from January 2017 - to July 2018. I was out of contract when I tried to terminate my membership. A few days ago, I inquired with the staff as to the procedure for termination. I was told that if I cancelled before the 17th of the month, my membership would be terminated from the 17th onward. Today is the 12th. I attempted to cancel, and I was informed that i had missed the cancellation window and would be charged for the following month anyway. I was misled by the employees.

I'd further like to state that in my experience, the only rules that are enforced at this location are not dropping things. You can workout in boots. You can workout in jeans. You can dance around the machines while yelling. You cannot accidentally rerack a weight too hard.

Clean, friendly staff, mostly not crowded except during $1 to join drives several times yearly. Here is the biggest drawback... while the equipment is fairly new, when a machine breaks or a hand grip for cables breaks or goes missing, it takes LONG time for repair and/or replacement... often weeks to months. Membership is worth the $10 per month... not much more.

Came in for a tour and the manager Shawn delivered his 110%. While on the tour I saw employees mopping and cleaning. Gotta say though... I'm very impressed. Keep up the great work team Macon!

Very disappointed in the service I received. I am new to the area and joined planet fitness in March. I had been going to planet fitness in NY for the past 6 months. I since relocated here in Ga. I joined the gym after meeting with a young lady from the church who goes there I decided to join and workout with her as she is a trainer. After working out with her twice We were rudely approached by the manager and told that we could not workout there because she was my personal trainer even though we both had memberships there. I was there with her 2x a week for an hour. None the less we had memberships. I was also working with the personal trainer the facility provided. I could not find anything in the gym policy stating that I could not workout there with a partner. I need clarity as to what the policies are. it was embarrassing being told we had to leave the gym and could not work out there I immediately cancelled my membership and was told I had to pay a cancellation fee. So much for southern hospitality.

It's the hipster of gyms. It gets to be not a gym but still have everything a gym has. This particular location is kinda small by comparison to other planet fitness locations.

The current equipment they have is outdated. The Planet Fitness location that I go to daily in Gainesville, Georgia has all the latest equipment. This location needs to overhaul their equipment and clean up the gym.

One cannot go wrong choosing this facility. The price point cannot be beat, there is never a shortage of quality strength and cardio machines or free weights, and the staff is wonderful. I come in every day and I find the staff always cleaning, checking in on members, and assisting with form and safety. They take pride in their work and their workplace. I highly recommend this location.
