They do any excellent job of keeping things clean .
Johnny and his fitness coaches are awesome! They are thorough, know what they're doing, very professional and always , yes always supportive.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Large gym with a good selection of machines and weights. Avoid going between 5-7pm on weekdays, as it becomes very crowded. As with many gyms, too few of the members practice good gym etiquette. It would be much appreciated if members were reminded to return their weights and other equipment to the racks after use, and not to stand around or sit on equipment they aren't using. I've been a member for over 3 years at this location and am very satisfied overall.
Meh. If your just wanting to throw around some free weights this place is fine. But compared to the other LA fitnesses here in Atlanta is probably the worst. Half of the equipment/treadmills are never working. The hot tub down for repairs once a month. If you can go to another LA fitness I would suggest it

Corporate standards of cleanliness need improvement. For example, the slots for storing cell phones on the treadmills are never cleaned.
Many machines have electronic functions that don't work at all (e.g., heart rate indicators), or don't work well.
Clean with great staff.....watch out for old naked men in the locker room

It's very small. I ain't gone there for an interview and the guy who interviewed me told me it was for a sales position which I did not apply for! So he said that he was going to pass it off to Scott and I have yet to hear from Scott! I think what LA Fitness does is that they try to fool people into thinking that they apply for a sales position when they really didn't! Because they need sales people and this person just saw my resume because I work in sales to a certain point but I don't make a commission and what I do, these people do at LA Fitness. I had applied for front desk! So I will follow up this week on my application and to see what happens because that's ridiculous when I know where I applied for but, then this guy, Darius, sits there and shows me on his paper that I apply for customer service position, sales. So wrong!

I wouldn't recommend going to this particular LA fitness. I went there on a rainy day taking an umbrella through the parking lot. I asked the staff at the front desk if they could look after my umbrella while I did a quick workout. The gentleman at the front desk said sure and told me to place it behind the chair by the front door. So I did and went to go workout. 30 minutes later as I was leaving, I noticed it was gone. I ask the man at the front if he knew anything about it and he said he didn't see anyone go near the chair. The manager notices something is wrong and comes to see what's going on. I told him my umbrella may have been stolen. He tells me that he never noticed an umbrella behind the chair. I ask him if there's any security footage he could check to see what happened. He goes to check and not even 5 seconds later, he comes back and says he didn't see anything. I understand I should not have placed the umbrella there and that I can't blame them for it being stolen, but the amount of help I received in the matter was greatly disappointing. The whole time I was speaking about to the staff about this, they wouldn't look me directly in the eyes and gave me short answers. I even had to suggest looking at the surveillance cameras to get a better idea of what happened. I have been a member of LA fitness for over a year and they have treated me as if I'm a replaceable customer. I would recommend going to the LA fitness on Church Street over this one (on corner of Lavista and North Druid Hills). I live less than a block away from this one and almost always drive the extra 15 minutes to go to the one on Church Street. Great place for workout and swimming. I just started and enjoying my time at this location!
Great location and parking. Equipment is in good shape and the gym is not overly crowded but has a nice amount of folks. Staff is helpful. The fitness classes are the highlight of the gym.
DO NOT PATRONIZE LA FITNESS.... The manager told me, after telling him i was a disable Veteran., " We don't want your crazys in our gym anyway.".... ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY! I used to be a member of this gym for 3 years. The day before my debit was due, I lost my credit card, about 5 days before Thanksgiving. Thats when the calls started coming EVERYDAY! I explain the situation, I offered to pay the next time i come in, they declined and said they needed my debit card number. Then the calls started getting worst. The associate said, "if you can't afford a membership you shouldn't gotten it." Then finally, i got a call on THANKSGIVINGS DAY! I was so mad, i could not believe how i was being harassed. I asked to speak to the manager, asked him to never call my phone again. He replied, " listen you monkey..." A MONKEY! and a few other words. To which i told him if he call me again, i will call the cops. He called again, I CALLED THE COPS. I called the corporate office the next bushiness day to complain. La Fitness corporate was unapologetic and did not care. In fact they told me," We stand by our management team and our employees..." I had a simple solution. I DONT HAVE TO GIVE YOU MY MONEY! PLANET FITNESS is around the corner and is a drama free zone ;-).

Love the yoga classes and instructors. The pool is great for laps. They also have a hot tub and sauna. They just renovated and the new layout and flooring is nice and clean. They have lots of equipment.

Too hot. It's well over 80 degrees in this place. If I wanted to do Bikram Yoga I would've signed up for it.
Amazing! The woman who closes on Thursday night is such a sweetheart. Would go back just to be greeted by that warm smile again!
This review is for the LA Fitness off North Druid Hills...I go this place for convenience only, and thinking about going somewhere since I am close to so many other gyms here. I do not look forward to getting my work out done there. I actually work out 5/6 days a week, but I drive 30 min. to get to my other gym.
Here it is why I don't like this gym:
Small and with not enough machines for the amount of people during pick hours, and machines with out of order signs. Corporation, build up! This is a busy place and you are loosing money!;
As a girl, I few that many women would feel intimidated by the crammed-with- men area of the dumbell's, Smith mchine area etc. I always have to push my way to get a place there, and I am a little bold then many women. So I few like many shy away from this gym.
Yesterday I was there in the evening, and it is unnerving to see how many people just take up a machine, to be texting. Seriously. People, step away to take care of your texting. Rude. There is something called etiquette at the gym too.
There are no accountability, neither any help for the newbies. If you go out of the country, at many Gym's there are one or two, depending on the size of the gym, certified personal trainers to guide you on your form, and assist with the machines, walking the room. Stand out from the competition LA Fitness! Bring quality, not just quantity.
The "Personal Trainer area" takes a chunk of this space, and it is clearly under used.
Most of the front desk staff are nice, and the manager ( I forgot his name) is always nice and friendly, so that is a plus.
The machine area is relatively clean, the shower smells, like mold tho.
If you are a dude, and know what your doing this place might be for you, if you are a newbie you might want to go somewhere else.
This LA fitness is the only LA fitness in the area with a Pullover machine. Even better, there are (2) pullover machines! This is the only exercise that can isolate the latissimus dorsi muscle, and a treasure amongst those trying to increase the size of their back without straining elbows or triceps.
Outstanding gym, nice staff, and never too crowded. My favorite LA in town!
I visited this location with a friend of mine who is currently a member. The facility is very clean with great equipment. We indulged in a few of the classes and I enjoyed them all. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and they offered me a membership deal but there was no pressure and no nagging phone calls.
From the first consultation I had with Darius, I knew I made a good decision in joining this gym. No pressure to join, no pressure to do one-on-one training sessions, no sales tactics, just genuine conversation. I recently brought a special request to Darius and he could have easily brushed it aside or turned me away. Instead, he spent time and effort resolving the situation. It was not merely professional, but more than that. It was personal. He's a personable, friendly guy that works around the clock to make this gym the best it can be.
Great gym. Customer service is great. Machines are always available. Love the sauna. Only complaint is there isn't many protein drink flavors at the smoothie bar.
It's not a very big space, lacks equipments, does not have air conditioning and runs high power fans...its the ghetto la fitness of ATL. Rating : 2 stars
Update (Oct 2017): The newly renovated place looks good. It's kept neat and maintained well... So far so good. Let's hope this is consistent.

Horrible customer service. I joined the gym and had to cancel my membership last minute. I was told the amount will be credited back into my credit card, it wasn't! And I had to call countless times (over 50) the person in charge was always busy and would never call back.
After speaking with head office, I was told I had to have a cheque mailed out to me. It took over 6 months and many more phone calls to finally get my cheque.
If I hadn't kept on top of the issue I would have never seen my money again.
Stay away.
Small gym. And a bit stuffy, but they do their best with large fans to keep the air moving. Decent cardio machines too.
This is hands down the best LA Fitness in Atlanta. The staff here are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. Darius knows just about every regular member here and greets them by name when they walk in the door. The rest of the staff (Francis, Miguel, Andre, Gerald and Oliver) are always so kind and always are willing to help members out however possible, even when they're on break or off work. I've never had such a pleasant experience at any other LA Fitness or gym in general. I know members who drive across town and passed other LA Fitnesses, just to come to Toco Hills because of the amazing staff and atmosphere.
It's not the best, most upgraded but my draw is the smaller crowd and diverse demographic. I have a plan in mind every time and I really appreciate uninterrupted workouts without distractions.
