I Love this place. It is very much a community of different people sharing the goal of being fit and healthy and enjoying themselves all at the same time.
We just joined the YMCA--we previously had membership at a chain gym--and we love the Y! We are loving the wide variety of classes offered, the differing class time options, the super engaging and energetic instructors, and the general facilities. We are officially converts and already recommending the YMCA to so many of our friends!
Great facility. Clean with great staff. The hours of operation are great for working families and the child play center is an awesome distraction for the kids while I work out.
The East Lake YMCA is my go to for exercise, relaxation and socialization. Eveyone is helpful and the members are friendly and in line with the family philosophy. I have been a YMCA member since the age of 7. I started at the YMCA camps and have been a member most of my life since then. The Outdoor and Indoor Pools around town and second to none. Great for the entire family!
Great location, great staff on the floor and in the offices, and great facility....thank you ..one of the few places we go where we are called by our names and really feel welcome.

The facilities are excellent and the support staff is very responsive; I enjoy the fitness center and fitness coaches Des and Danielle; the Aquatics center and the 100 mile swim challenge and the lifeguards ; the Active Older Adults organization and activities...the towels are an added bonus; finally, Mr. Underwood, the director, is very involved and responsive to our needs and concerns.

The women's shower area in this facility is disgusting, the stalls are filthy. I was there yesterday and there were dead bugs all on the upper wall of the showers, the grout on the walls and the floors need a serious detail cleaning. The whole shower needs a complete overhaul; it smells in there like the sewer line may be backed up. I have complained about this before, seem like they fix it temporarily then the problem or whatever it is returns. This is ridiculous really.

This has been a great place for swim lessons for my 4 year old son. The kiddie pool for him to play in afterward is do much fun. The gym area for working out is small, cramped & overall unimpressive.
There's a new employee and he was the rudest to me. His name is Harold and I went to the front desk to check in and it turned out that I forgot my y card at home so usually the employee will just take a couple of seconds to look your name up and then your good but Harlod was the rudest person ever. I told him I forgot it at home and he wouldn't allow me to come work out. I tried telling him that this wasn't the first time I forgot my card and he yelled at me rudely and made me stand in a line to get a new card even though I already have one. Not only that I am a paying guests who deserves to be treated with respect. This location could've done better with the new staff members they hired. He didn't explain anything to me he had a nasty unwelcoming attitude.
