Like any workout, you get out of it what you put into it. I love how the machines work, you can use maximum effort on every rep with no safety concern on the ARX system. The workout is major compound movements 8 reps slowly and only 1 set. For each move, you are essentially pushing or pulling against a wench, so you can push or pull as hard as possible on every rep. The best part is that a computer track every instant of every rep you do. I can go to a web page and compare my first workout against my latest workout to see my progress. I've done around 10 workouts now, and I can see that my max on leg press has gone up around 50%. That's kind of amazing. I'll admit that some of that is just learning how to use the machine, but a big chunk is real gains in strength. I'm not completely convinced that I need the full 7 days to recover, maybe 5 or 6 would be better. When you look at the pricing, you have to compare it to a personal trainer instead of a basic gym membership. Each workout is essentially a personal training session.
