I do not practice yoga on a regular basis, I have down it a handful of times in the past. I do, however, love metal!! \m/ \m/ I had the pleasure of experiencing the metal yoga class after my friend suggested it during a recent weekend trip to Atlanta. As first time visors, the instructor was absolutely not intimidating, the class was comfortable, we felt welcome and encouraged!! It was a very warm environment and the experience is one I will treasure! Will definitely return if able.
As for the music!! Fantastic!! We listened to ISIS the whole 1:15 session. Several, several times I got so into the music and the pose that were being paired and it was so great!!!! I spoke to the instructor after the class and recommended the band RWake. It was too busy and crowded for me to also recommend: Pelican, Zoroaster, and at least Finger Paintings of the Insane by Acid Bath. If you don't know Acid Bath, leave it out if you can't get into tree pose to lyrics of utter insanity. Namaste!!
