I was a previous student/ employee at All Life is Yoga this past spring/summer and fall. I learned great information about the poses and met a great network of people in and outside of the school. The program has many drawbacks to it. Over half of the class dropped the program due to finding out it is not backed by Yoga Alliance, which is not indicated on the website. Many students felt deceived in a sense. There was a lot of inconsistency with communication with our teacher and fellow students. She isnt very compassionate or empathetic and would not accept constructive criticism from her students about her unhealthy approach. After doing more research, I found out that some of the things she does with the school is highly unethical and has been going on for years. One student left because she felt it was too unethical for a woman of color, which i agree.

I was removed from the program due to having to miss a day of training for work. She could not accept that I had to reshape my priorities for my own living situation and so I was given a superficial reason as to why would no longer be in the program, mind you I was one of the top students. As a POC, i was thrown back by her faulty allegiance of wanting to provide opportunities of yoga to POC. I would not recommend this school to anyone until the veil of deceit is removed. At the end of the day, it was all about money to her. Please do extensive research before deciding to join.

This is a horrible place to have Yoga lessons. In 2014, I purchased a Groupon coupon to have 12 yoga classes. The third class, I slipped on the tile floors and severly injuried my back, neck and knees. Two other students and the instructor saw the slip and fall and heard me scream in pain. Since I had health insurance, I did not have a lot of out of pocket medical expenses. However, I did miss considerable time from work. The owner, a careless and racist woman never offered one cent of monetary compensation. She lied in her deposition claiming she was the only person in the studio and she always had protective mats on the entrance floors. She paid her attorney more money than I asked her to pay me. Therefore, I am warning anyone please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this snake pit. The studio does not have any accidence insurance, the owner will refuse to pay any medical expenses and the interior of the studio is a safety hazard. I never fully recovered from the injuries that I suffered.

I have been coming to All Life Is Yoga for over 1.5 years after having it recommended to me. I am a senior citizen and was new to yoga when I started. I have had a wonderful experience here receiving excellent instruction and guidance from all the instructors I have had. It has definitely helped with my flexibility, stability and strength and I would recommend it for all.

I've done yoga at several studios around Atlanta, and finally felt at home when I began taking classes at All Life Is Yoga. I was searching for a studio that taught more than asana (postures), which is just a fraction of what yoga is about. The integrated meditation in class helps deepen the practice greatly. The attention to safety and form is the best I've experienced. This studio has helped me solidify my home practice, and incorporate yoga, all aspects of it, into my daily life.

I have been practicing Yoga with Rutu and the other ALIY teachers since 2006. This studio is the most peaceful and tranquil place I've practiced yoga and that is very important to me. I've been in larger studios, practicing different forms of yoga, where the environment was more characteristic of a work-out training class. For me, those types of situations are too noisy (music playing), chaotic and hot; I can't get centered on myself, my practice and the movement within my body. ALIYA is the only studio I've found that suits my need to relax, get quite within myself and focus on my yoga practice in a profound way.

I highly recommend All Life is Yoga to anyone pursuing a better understanding of their body and their self within the body. Great studio!

Best studio in Atlanta. The attention to detail and safety in the teaching is excellent. I also love the integration of meditation techniques before, during and at the end of class. Lastly the studio provides us with tools for practicing asana and meditation at home confidently, and bringing Yoga into our daily lives, interactions and relationships. The studio lives up to its name, we are truly learning and experiencing "All Life is Yoga."

This is a great community yoga studio in Cabbagetown. Rutu, the owner, teaches with an open heart and focuses on alignment while allowing each student to open up to their practice. It's a nurturing environment in a beautiful space. Even though I don't live near Cabbagetown, it's worth the drive to come and practice yoga with supportive and caring instructors.

There are a plethora of choices for yoga classes. There is only one truly true yoga studio. All Life is Yoga is just that. I have attended other facilities only to discover that they are just cross fit gyms taking advantage of a trend.

I went to a workshop and was highly impressed with the knowledge of the instructors, Rutu & Claire. Check-in was a breeze and they had plenty of spare yoga mats and blocks to use during the class. I enjoyed the friendliness of the class and felt that individual attention was given to everyone throughout the hour. Highly recommended!

All Life is Yoga will inspire you to be your best self through your yoga practice. I've been going here for more than two years and I have found that the instructors are excellent and I always find the pose sequencing and pace to be just right! When you come for your first class, grab two blocks and a strap from the props area and your ready to move! BYO mat if you have one!
The owner Rutu also offers regular workshops, meditations classes and other events which are just as excellent as the regular classes.
