I've been an avid gym goer for 25+ years, and this is by far the worst LA Fitness that I've ever visited. For clarity, I worked out at Camp Creek for nearly 10 yrs and thought that that gym had the most opportunity out of all the facilities, but man was I wrong. Atlantic Station is the worst LA Fitness in the metro.
What's interesting is that many of the guest comments echo the same sentiments, and it seems to not even matter to management based on minor change. Horrible A/C system, mildew smell, broken machines everywhere, unracked weights all over the gym floor, etc. I refuse to even walk into the mens locker room or the sauna because of all the horror stories I've heard.
For this gym to be in the heart of Atlanta, I would say that it's a disgrace to the brand, as well as the members that pay their monthly fee. The staff is non existent most of the time, always on their phones, barely making eye contact. The pool is always leaking onto the carpet, the treadmills are dirty, there's always missing bars from the bench press machines, etc. Shame on management for allowing this to take place. Even if you need to hire a "rerack your weight" guard, do it! It's worth the investment. You have only 4 bench press stations, why allow people to take the bars off and use them in other capacities? Simple rules/standards like this will make the gym better. It also shows members that you hear any address their concerns.
