I joined back in May of this year and have been addicted ever since. Best money you can spend on a gym; it blows every other one out of the water when it comes to facilities, trainers, and members. Joining is pretty much a no-brainer.
You have the ability to both work out in classes or on your own. There is a wide variety of abilities between members, and being new to the sport I was really intimidated by the veterans who were faster, stronger, and way more experienced. The coaches do a great job of getting you out of your comfort zone and interacting during the class, and I soon realized I had nothing to be worried about. All the members are honestly over the top nice and outgoing (seriously I was not allowed to keep to myself despite my every intention) and after 4 months I have found a home.
My one reservation was that membership is expensive. I started off on a 3 month plan figuring I would things out and go from there. The conclusion I came to after this time was that it was worth every penny. This is not your run of the mill cookie cutter gym that may cost $25 a month and have 5,000 members. I think there are around 170 of us, most of whom you see at least once a week, many I see every day. It is a 10,000 sq ft workout space, with tons of weights, bars, bikes, rowers, etc. Trainers need to get paid, the lights have to be kept on, and hopefully the owners can support themselves. This is whats known as running a business, and it costs money. Your return on investment however, is remarkable if you put in the time. There is not a gym that cares more about your personal success and well-being than CFATL, its as simple as that. I made the personal investment in myself to continue coming here, and I firmly believe it is worth every single penny.
