Three months in, six sessions later, and I am back to running again! Dr. Ravi understood the focal point of the pain in my foot and developed a plan that not only strengthened my foot but also my knee and hip mobility.

Between the strength exercises I could do from home and the dry needling in-office that eased tight muscle tissue, I am running again in a way even better than I was prior to a knee injury two years ago.

Dr. Ravi seeks to create a plan that provides lasting benefits without the never-ending office visits. He is personable and will recall details you shared during your previous appointment. I highly recommend him, this staff and location.

I was referred to Athlete's Potential in Decatur by my neighbor. I had a "knot'" in my shoulder that would not resolve with stretching and exercise. Ravi worked with me using dry kneedling and various upper-body strength work to fix my pains. Highly recommend Ravi and Athlete's Potential!

I can't say enough about what a great resource Athlete's Potential is for physical therapy. I started treatment here after trying other places, but experiencing no decrease in very painful symptoms from overuse of my right shoulder. After a few weeks of treatment at Athlete's Potential, I started to feel less pain. I continued to improve as treatment continued, to the point that now I experience little or no pain while doing the activity (my job!) that caused years of discomfort leading up to finally seeking help. Besides having effective plans for treatment, the staff here is incredibly accommodating and friendly, and there are conscientious environmental details in the office like spring water in re-usable stainless steel cups and composting for coffee pods. If you need physical therapy, I don't think there is a better place to get it.

I started seriously running a little over a year ago. At first I thought I would just run because it is something that I can do any where I happen to be in the world. I thought I would run a few miles a couple of times a week, but I liked it more than I thought and I started running longer distances. Putting all these miles on my body resulted in some injuries because I was not properly training by balancing cardio with strength training. I met Ravi Patel when I ran a 5K and he took the runners through a warm up. I liked the warm and he seemed like someone that I could work with. I contacted Athletes' Potential because I had been running through an ankle injury that turned into a hamstring pull. Right away, I connected with Ravi and knew that he could help me balance my injuries along with help me develop a strength training program to hopefully avoid future injuries. And I figured that he could handle my certain amount of crazy because I push my limits a little. I needed both a physical therapist and a personal trainer - and that is exactly what Ravi has been for me. He has helped me work through injuries and developed programs that have improved my strength. I look forward to my appointments with him and seeing what new program he has some up with. He sends me an email with my program including videos to help me remember technique and everything he wants me to do. He pushes and challenges me and has become the voice in my head not to over do it. He has been available in between appointments when I manage to hurt myself or I just want to share some good news about my training. I actually have fun when I get to see him and I also consider him a friend.

He really wants to get to know you and wants to help you achieve your goals - so he pays close attention to your body and what you tell him. He listens and takes the time needed to figure things out. He is extremely knowledgeable and his needling technique has helped me work through my injuries faster. I'm currently injury free, so we are working on improving my running and getting ready for the next race.

I have also interacted with all the other providers at Athletes' Potential and they are all friendly and seem like they would be great to work with. I think the philosophy of Athletes' Potential to help people manage injuries but to improve strength to avoid them in the future is the best way to think about physical therapy. Maybe PT should stand for more than just physical therapy, personal training too. And a place like Athletes' Potential that is committed to developing individualized programs to help people get past an injury and achieve goals - is the best place to help achieve my personal athletic potential.

Dr. Jackie was super friendly, knowledgeable and taught me a lot in a short period of time. She is excellent for crossfit athletes but also any one who is wanting to stay active while healing from an injury. Highly recommend her and Athletes' Potential!

I am still in the midst of my treatment so four stars, but I am sure this will evolve into a five star review. After seeing another PT, sports chiropractor, and bodywork massage therapist, my trainer recommended AP for my chronic back pain. Dr Jackie is the bomb! It is well worth the investment for her one on one time and detailed treatment plan (homework). I am feeling much better and after a long period of discomfort see my old self returning. These folks are different, and I can't say enough about Dr. Jackie - she's fantastic, truly.

Athlete's Potential offers high quality one-on-one services. They listen to you and your specific needs. If you are an athlete they will very likely understand the demands of your sport because every therapist and staff member are athletes in their own right. Their goal is to help you get you back to doing what you love. If you have had a bad experience with physical therapy in the past give these guys a try. You won't be disappointed.

The clinicians at Athlete's Potential are pain and performance ninjas. The level of care and the overall experience was by far the best in Atlanta.

I initially started seeing Dr. Jackie 6 weeks postpartum to strengthen my core after a c-section. As a fellow crossfitter, she tailored a program specifically to helping me get back to the gym, and I felt stronger after a couple of weeks. Each session is followed by an email with links to videos for each exercise so that I could continue the rehab at home. After returning to the gym, I continued to see her on a monthly basis to work on rehabbing old shoulder and knee injuries. I have had limited range of motion in my knee FOR YEARS and after working with Dr. Jackie, I have been able to regain several degrees of mobility. I am delighted with the results! Thank you Athletes' Potential!

My trainer recommended AP because I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and have been modifying workouts for the past 2 years to avoid all high impact exercises. After 6 sessions with Jackie, I'm back to running, jumping, etc. and feeling great! She gave me targeted homework, assessed the way I run and jump, and used dry needling, soft tissue massage and cupping to treat the problem areas. I highly recommend Jackie for her expertise (and terrific personality) and AP for their excellent customer service. If I ever need PT in the future, I'll definitely return to Jackie and AP!

Athlete's Potential front office staff was so courteous and remembered me each time I called. They were able to accommodate my schedule and Dr. Jackie was so great at answering questions prior to treatment. This is an amazing clinic treating an array of musculoskeletal disorders, not just for CrossFit athletes. I am a mother of 4 and currently have no specific training regime. I am so grateful for a clinic that cares for me specifically. Thank you Athlete's Potential, you rock!

Jackie has really helped me with exercises designed to strengthen weakened & lazy muscles and promote better balance. I am a former distance runner, now exercising with Cross Fit, Yoga and walking. After a hip replacement in 2011, running has not been comfortable as the repaired right leg is now noticeably shorter.
In addition to analysis of my movement issues, Jackie also performed dry needling and massage on my right hip. She found the "rotten spots" and released the knots.
Over the course of my five 1-hour visits, Jackie demonstrated exercises which will build on the work we've started. Jackie is very knowledgeable - suggesting options for each issue and showing progressively more difficult exercises as I get stronger. Jackie is great to work with. She corrects, encourages, and stresses the need to keep at it. Jackie is a first rate physical therapist!

I had shoulder pain for YEARS! I figured it was old age, but it really began to impact my activities. Jackie was able to pinpoint my pain and give me a simple solution. I've been pain free for a year. Now that I've decided to throw my face off my bike and on to the ground, I've asked Jackie to help me with the subsequent paralysis and neck pain I've been enduring. So far so good!!

Dr Jackie is very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. She is very personable and hands on. As a crossfitter I highly recommend her for anyone looking for an excellent PT.

I have not been able to bench press anything over 225 lbs. without pain for several months. I went to see Dr. Danny for some dry needling and a mobility session. After the session, he sent me a routine to do as warm up for my bench sessions and a separate one for squat days. I was finally able to bench press 405 pain free. My highest prior to seeing him was an extremely painful 375. I cant say enough good things about him and his practice!

As a professional circus artist, I have needed to see a good amount of physical therapists for all of the wear and tear on my body. Dr. Jackie has been the best I've seen! She is very attentive and investigative - she focuses on finding the root of the issue not just treating the symptoms. She is very detail oriented and takes thorough notes and focuses a lot of energy on the patient. She helped me gain back INCHES of my flexibility. Couldn't recommend more!

Great physical therapy! I saw th for some neck pain I had been dealing with for 6 months. I saw them 4 times and am pain free. Best of all the spent a ton of time teaching me how to keep myself pain free. I was slightly apprehensive since my insurance didn't pay for their visits but I would have twice what they charge for finally being out of pain. Thanks so much.

I've seen my share of pains and issues, and Dr. Jacqueline Varnum has provided her share of remedies and solutions. A+

So glad that I finally made the commitment to work with Danny! After having my fourth baby and returning to training, my low back nagged me every day and hurt tremendously on some days. Believe me, I tried many methods to stretch, strengthen, adjust, needle, freeze, compress...my way back to feeling right again. Nothing seemed to make much of a difference. I stopped training hard to alleviate that load (about which I was really sad bc I love to train!), but my life with young kids could not pause for me to get back to being strong and pain-free. In Danny, I found someone who understands my life as a mom and the physical demand that is. I so appreciate how he made ME do the work to get back to feeling good. He did not just talk about what I needed to do, needle me, and send me on my way to survive until I was able to get back in to see him. He programmed five days a week of work with some exercises/mobs to practice daily. He put the ball in my court to choose if I would change how I feel. Danny structured a program that progressed me to being able to pull and squat well without pain...really, to move without pain. I likely have better movement patterns now than ever. I am on my way back to being fit and strong in the gym but more importantly for me, in my home and with my kids. Danny, thank you for being excellent, passionate, supportive, challenging, and encouraging. We, who know you, are blessed to live richer and fuller lives because of what you teach us and challenge us to do. Grateful.
