I recently tried it out for one day because of the amenities and convenience and it was absolutely awful.
The free weights are is an absolute disaster weights missing and no space not to mention really rude patrons that I'm pretty sure are on lots of anabolic stuff. I can definitely overlook that if everything else is up to par.
The bathrooms and locker rooms are unacceptable the doors to the lockers are missing hinges and door knobs.
The place is filthy with paper towels and trash ever were also saw a dead roach in one of the lockers.
I would not recommend this place until they also renovate the men's lockers and bathrooms and keep it up with proper sanitary measures.

When I signed up they gave me two different price options one allowed me to bring a guest in which I chose for the additional $5.00 I didn't start bringing a guest until two months as a member then one day I showed up with a guest and they said I didn't have that option they was telling me its an additional $10.00 and told my guest it's cheaper if they get their own account. I cancelled because it's not hard to actually have an awesome gym LA Fitness just don't have the potential.
Super clean, both the sauna and the steam rooms are well maintained. Not a lot of bathrooms, but this gym doesn't get hugely busy :)
All in all, I'm very happy to be working out here--it sure is working out for me ;)
Old eqipment. Old, dirty locker room. And impossible to cancel. They told me they need a manager to cancel. Then they say they have no idea when the manager will ever be there. Total scam. Never joining la fitness again.

This location is close to where I live but I generally try to avoid it based on staff friendliest and equipment.
Staff: Ghetto, rude, uncooperative, and unfriedly. I have waited to check in while a group of the front desk staff finished talking. After I walked off they said "ay yo hold up you aint check in", after I patiently waited for 3min while they wrapped up a convo on dating in West Palm Beach.
Equipment: Old and rusted out, basic, all I can say.
PROS: Close to where I live
CONS: SO MANY TO NAME
Do yourself a favor go to the Wellington, Northlake, PGA Blvd, or downtown location.

so far so good...little bit of an odor in the place but i presume the rain has kept everything damp lately. i am a new member and Sean was super easy to deal with during the sign up.
the showeers could be a little cleaner, it looks like they tried to color the grout or something and it's coming off. I am suprised a little because the young man who was in there this morning was cleaning his rear end off! he was like a robot maid or something! it looks like they tried colored tile grout or something at one point and it failed...maybe time for a re-grout or re-tile? The pool area however was clean and the ph seemed good.
overall good place that just needs a little tweaking if they are going to compete with the lower priced gyms in the rea.
There's a lot of equipment to facilitate beginners and professionals alike. You have a swimming pool and basketball court and depending on your package you can bring 2 persons and use and any gym in the country. Not bad for $29.99 a month

This one is near where i shop and work, i like the staff, especially Sergio, clean facility usually jacuzzi and pool are working fine.

Coming from Miami, one of the South East meccas of fitness, I like to make educated choices about the gyms I join. I approached the manager at this location today and asked for a guest pass, and he flat out refused, said that he doesn't have that option at this location. I mentioned that I always see 'LA Fitness 3 Day Pass' cards everywhere, in restaurant, other gyms, etc. This gentleman did not even want to acknowledge what I was saying. Just flat out refused and gave me the option of paying $15 for a one day pass, despite mentioning that I can show him my FPL bill and other bills at my new, local address. So, I showed him on my phone, through the official LA Fitness website, that I can fill out a form that would give me a 5 day pass at LA. He didn't care. He chalked it up to "the transient population of the area has a habit of asking for a guest pass and then I never sell a membership". I'm sorry but that is not my problem! I should not be treated one way because you have given out too many guest passes and havent sold memberships in return. He finally stated,rolling his eyes, that I can try out the gym for one day when he was working. He was never rude, but I can tell he just wanted to be done with me. I DEFINITELY will not even try out one day at that gym, where I'm the one that has to haggle to be able to see the venue and determine if it is a right fit me. He should of been the one to say 'Hey, come in, let me show you around so you can see what he have to offer'.

Filthy Locker rooms, found german roaches crawling in lockers. Young guys use the hot tub in their UNDERWEAR, they do not have the decency to bring a swim suit. Disgusting and disrespectful. I stopped using the hot tub, it's brown or green half the time. NOT worth catching an infection of some sort.

All in all the center is friendly. The culture is mixed and not stuck up like some other locations can be. I always get a good work out there. The place can use a small makeover.
The sales and training staff were phenomenal!!
Especially the young gentleman named Elvis. He was absolutely adorable and went far beyond his call of duty!!!!

I was very impressed with the new staff. Im a longtime member and brought a friend with me to the northlake location and yes it is a nice club but the sales guy was very pushy and turned us off.Last week we decided to try the okeechobee and military location..yes it is old and could use a touch up but Elvis and Sean were outstanding.They treated my guest and me like family!!! My friend will be signing up there in the next few days!
While LA Fitness as a whole is a perfect example of a large company that cares nothing for its members I have had some very good interactions with the staff at my local branch in Melbourne. The club there is usually well maintained and neat. However, this club is filthy, the equipment is gross, and staff is rude. I'm consistently impressed how every time I come in to this club it is a new worst for LA Fitness. The only redeeming thing about this club is that it has driven me to end my membership. It's almost as bad as a planet fitness.
I absolutely hate this gym. All the machines are rusty and old. The weights are always misplaced and thrown all over the floor while the staff sits behind a desk on their phones. The general manager said that in order for me to switch my primary gym to another one I would have to cancel my membership and start a new one. My response to that garbage was how come every gym (24 hour fitness, you fit, planet fitness) allows the paying customer to do that easily. He then said nothing. Spare yourself the aggravation of dealing with these idiots.

Join this gym if you like spending half of your workout looking for the right dumbells, because they don't organize them or put them away. Join this gym if you like using creaky, peeling equipment. Join this gym if you like waking up at 5 am only to show up to the gym at 6 and find out that their employees didn'tshow up and the gym is locked. Join this gym if you like kicking empty cans and used paper towels out of the way of whatevr equipment you want to use. Join this gym if you like bathrooms and locker rooms that always smell like open sewers.
I like working out at LA FITNESS. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO THERE.
It maybe one the oldest location but I love that they have everything pool, Sunna classes and the friends Ive meet there are ok.. it's a lot of turn over in staff but other than that it's good
Not sure why so many people are hating on this location. There may have been a possibility they've been here at the wrong time, or maybe I came here when new managers took over. This location isn't bad at all. It smells clean every time I walk in. The equipment is older but still does the job. It's spacious enough and clean, that's what's important to me. The weekends are nice as well, because it's alot less busy and more of a chill atmosphere. I reccomened this location. Don't always believe the bad reviews you see and go see for yourself!
