Coming from Miami, one of the South East meccas of fitness, I like to make educated choices about the gyms I join. I approached the manager at this location today and asked for a guest pass, and he flat out refused, said that he doesn't have that option at this location. I mentioned that I always see 'LA Fitness 3 Day Pass' cards everywhere, in restaurant, other gyms, etc. This gentleman did not even want to acknowledge what I was saying. Just flat out refused and gave me the option of paying $15 for a one day pass, despite mentioning that I can show him my FPL bill and other bills at my new, local address. So, I showed him on my phone, through the official LA Fitness website, that I can fill out a form that would give me a 5 day pass at LA. He didn't care. He chalked it up to "the transient population of the area has a habit of asking for a guest pass and then I never sell a membership". I'm sorry but that is not my problem! I should not be treated one way because you have given out too many guest passes and havent sold memberships in return. He finally stated,rolling his eyes, that I can try out the gym for one day when he was working. He was never rude, but I can tell he just wanted to be done with me. I DEFINITELY will not even try out one day at that gym, where I'm the one that has to haggle to be able to see the venue and determine if it is a right fit me. He should of been the one to say 'Hey, come in, let me show you around so you can see what he have to offer'.
