I always read reviews that said the gym treated them like family from the moment they walked through the door. I never knew what that meant until I walked into this gym. Truly the nicest people ever with incredible skill.

I learned more here than at any other gym I've been to and it was for a single session. Highly recommend.

Great way to get in shape and stay sharp. Very laid back, family atmosphere, great classes for all levels and one-on-one coaching. Dato - aka The Russian Nightmare - is a patient, friendly and highly-skilled/experienced coach who is a blast to work with. If you're on the fence about this place, go to one session and give it a try; you'll be hooked! I highly recommend TMT!

Been here for almost 8-9 months now with zero experience and the improvement now is amazing thanks to all the awesome coaches there. I always have a good time in the gym and feels like family there. One of the best choices i ever made.

Excellent instruction, I promise you will never get bored at Tampa Muay Thai. In my one year of training, I have learned so much about the art of Muay Thai. The instructors are kind and patient and help to facilitate an environment where you can really grow, in terms of skill and mental fortitude. Their fight team is beyond skilled, often dominate the competition, and are truly a joy to watch and work with. TMT for the win!!!

I walked into Tampa Muay Thai with ZERO striking experience. The trainers here know exactly what they're talking about and are some of the most talented fighters I know, ranging from fighters in Thailand to fighting professionally in the United States. Tampa Muay Thai is a great opportunity for amateurs to try out the sport and to take their training to a further level. I have fought with these guys and don't regret one day of training. Tampa Muay Thai is family. Everyone is here is very diverse, so you end up gathering knowledge from all kinds of people. Jalal Khatib, Alex Berrios, David Gogichaisvili, Jason Chang, and Khru Ray Cole are amazing trainers and I would recommend this place to any of my friends who are in the area!

I been taking personal training lessons with Jalal for over a year. He is a fabulous trainer! I've been training in the martial arts for 16 years. I've learned wonderful techniques and gotten back into terrific shape. I highly recommend Tampa Muay Thai and Jalal if you are interested in the martial arts or getting into shape.

This gym has a soul. A very good soul that nurtures the principles of Muay Thai. The staff creates this environment through their warm welcoming and eagerness to assist. I called for a free trial for my 7 year old son who has been in boxing before but I wanted him to start at a new place for reasons I won't discuss. My son has adhd so his doctor recommended putting him in sports or something HE LIKES to keep him busy and away from trouble. My son begged me to put him in boxing so I want to make clear that I didnt make or push my son to do something that he didnt want to do.This was at my sons request that he get put in boxing. At our first free trial the kids instructor took my son on the mats to walk him through some basics. Part of my sons adhd is short attention span and being at a new place that had people working out and stuff had him distracted but I know if given a chance my son would snap back into it because he has done it before and did good at his other boxing place.Come on he was a bit shy his first time in a new place with new faces. I noticed the kids instructor getting impatient with my son and a bit agitated because my son was slacking and not doing what he was told right. In stead of using his left leg he would step with his right. Does this place not work with kids who are at all different learning levels? After about only 5 minutes the instructor walked over to me and told me it looked like my son wasnt interested in it, so i explained about his disorder and maybe he just needed a little time to adjust and he said nothing else and just walked away. Gave up on my son just like that!!! Giving me the impression that kids with adhd arent good enough for their time. Im so stressed over what my son and I felt to just feel left out. I tell no lies with my right hand to God I thought this place would be a great place for my son to succeed and do something he loves. Im disappointed with the treatment my son received at this place thats why they get 1 star. All children should be treated the same. At Muay Thai the instructor never gave my son a chance.

**UPDATE: @ response from owner first of all please do not put words in my sons mouth because that is clearly a LiE my son never said he didnt want to be there.! Like I said before it was at my sons request he wanted to be there so why would you lie and say he said he didnt want to be there? Lies lies lies this place is pathetic full of lies and are lying because they got called out and dont want to look bad...Please if my son would have been treated right why would I be on here writing this long review? Ill answer that because what I wrote is exactly how it happened!!! Period!!!

Tucked away in the southern boundary of trendy Seminole Heights just north of bustling downtown, Tampa Must Thai is the only place I know of where a neurosurgeon gets (legally) kicked by a fast food worker and a salsa dancers do push-ups.
Known for pumping out professional and amateur Thai boxers, Tampa Muay Thai has a curriculum to meet my physical fitness needs in an innovative way.
They blend Thai culture with a little ass kicking. After a few minutes of training, you're sweating. The trainers know how to make you work, working your muscles, taxing your cardiovascular system, and challenging your brain with new technique. it's not just the trainers' expertise that sells me on this place - it's mostly the culture.
With members ranging in gender, race, nationality, size, and socioeconomic class, TMT brings everyone with different training aspirations together cohesively through different avenues of Muay Thai training. From the strength and conditioning to dirty boxing or sparring classes, the trainers at Tampa muay Thai fulfill the needs of anyone with any inkling toward fighting or general physical fitness.
I couldn't give this place enough stars for the culture, expertise, and results.

I have two children one of whom has ADD/ADHD/SPD. The childrens instructor, along with all the trainers at this facility are beyond exceptional and understanding to each and every child/adults individual needs. Travis is a superior Childrens trainer who works very closely with each child. They are treated with the utmost respect. Each student is motivated, encouraged, and pushed to reach their fullest potential regardless of any physical or mental condition. Distractions for an ADD/ADHD Child in the gym? So? Children and adults with ADD/ADHD exprrience distractions in the clasroom, any sports activity, its called real life experiences. My son is taught not to be limited by his condition but that possibilities are limitless.. We have been members at this gym for 3 months and couldnt be happier. All students work at their pace and everyone. .everyone at this gym is compassionate, understanding, exceptionally patient and helpful . Children and adults alike work together to learn in a perfect environment. My son with ADD/ADHD has experienced other sports, martial arts but feels so at home. Both my boys and myself (I have an endless list of medical problems) have not only thrived here but also have met some of the most incredible, compassionate, exceptional people there. Dont limit your child with a label but allow them to grow where they thrive best. For my family. Tampa Muay Thai is exactly that. Thank you to everyone who has been understanding and nurtured patiently both my sons desire to learn regardless of what hurtles they have overcome.. to see them accomplish and learn new techniques.. that sense of pride and smile on their face is absolutely priceless. Thank you staff and members at Tampa Muay Thai for making us feel welcome and embracing my families unique attributes.

Some of these negative reviews can take there comments and shove it. I've been going to this Gym for 4 years now going on 5 years. I fought in the ring to represent this wonderful family. I've worked in Corporate America for 14 years now with my day job. I've traveled to many different states and just like any other business dealing with executives and clients you cannot expect an utopia society when doing business. Quite frankly, if you would go to any other gyms such as (L.A. Fitness, Crunch Time, U-Fit, The Orange Theory, or 24 Hour Fitness), I'm sure there will be something to complain about!!!
This GYM created friendships with a positive motivational attitude that foster a family environment that does not discriminate against any one based on religion, sex or creed. I LOVE this gym and I would recommend it to any one for a life changing experience. So if you just relocated to the Tampa area, come check out Tampa Muay Thai at 1622 N Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602.
