Huge clean gym with great instruction from UFC fighters both past and current. Very relaxed fun atmosphere.

Best jiu jitsu network in the Tampa area, period. Everyone is friendly. The coaches are excellent, and the rolls are always tough. I would train all day at this place if I could.
I've been training at Gracie Tampa South for just over 7 months. It has changed my life for the better and I can't imagine not having this place in my life. All of the coaches are professional, understanding, experienced, patient, and highly skilled. They can teach their skills to anyone. The other students and more advanced people are really nice and helpful. There is something for everyone here and if you stick with it, you'll feel yourself improve physically and mentally. Put any reluctance, fear, pride, and ego aside and just get in the door. You'll be glad you did.
This place is so incredible I don't even know where to begin. Everyone I've met here is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It's very family friendly. Both my son and I train here. He started when he turned 5 and I started when I was 44. Between his classes and my classes, we spend a lot of time here. The instructors are great for both the adults and kids. I'm so surprised at how much I've learned. I'm kind of embarrassed to say that before I started I thought that with my age and how little I knew about bjj, I'd get my butt kicked every class. I'm proud to say, that never happened! I can't recommended this place enough. I can honestly say that time spent here is definitely one of the highlights of my day.

How to start? 50 year old starting his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Members quickly become family. Actually, that would be the best way to describe GTS- Family. Strongly recommend you give it a try.
I absolutely LOVE this gym! I'm fairly new to martial arts so I'm not as great as everyone else but the coaches are really patient with me and I have learned so much. I'm impressed with the improvement I've made in only two months. It's in a convenient location, everyone is really friendly and the facility is huge and well kept.
This place is also military friendly so if you're active duty and just moving here, you definitely need to try this place first. Don't waste your time or money anywhere else. I'm actually going back to Texas in a few months but I've heavily contemplated sticking around Tampa just to be at this gym, that's how much I love it. You will not regret trying GTS, we only breed champions.

Best MMA gym in Tampa!!!!! BJJ classes are definitely the best in the area and amazing after school kids program. I can't begin to express how this gym has impacted my life in such a positive manner, and seeing Matt Arroyo practice what he preaches and pouring into the youth of Tampa will impact not only the individuals that train here, but it will impact the future of this city in the best way.
