I am in excellent, athletic shape from ten years of intense workout. As a thirty-something, the activities of this center have increased my cardiovascular, stamina and dexterity capabilities. I am a super-creature ready to conquer the world! Awesome people, customer service, and quality outcomes.
I enjoyed the gym for the duration I actively went. The staff was friendly and professional, and the facility was clean. However, I stopped attending as the drive became too much for me going from Riverview to Powerhouse. I sent an email months ago requesting my membership be terminated as I do not wish to waste money on a gym I no longer go to. Sad to say, they either did not see my email or chose to ignore it.
They have everything you could ever want in a gym! Free weights, cardio, personal training!!! And the cafe serves healthy dishes! Try one of the protein shakes or customized bowls with lean protein and lots of healthy veggies!!!
I switched to Powerhouse thinking the vibe would be more chill and there would be plenty of space to lay down a mat to do body weight exercises. However, this was not the case. There is always (every time I was there) a class going on, so space is limited. The staff is friendly though and gave us a decent deal. Going back to Crunch though as it is much more affordable.
The facility is clean and well maintained. I went during quieter hours usually, but even during busy times it wasn't too hard to find a treadmill. Fantastic.
Great gym. Huge selection of equipment. Locker room and showers were clean. Just wish they weren't so expensive compared to Crunch but since the Crunch I go to regularly doesn't clean their showers, I guess you get what you pay for. Lol
Hands down the best gym in Tampa. The staff is absolutely amazing and there professionalism is something definitely to be admired. Even the clientele here for the most part is absolutely outstanding. All gym's for the most part have their fare share of douche bags but the people here are really great unlike nothing I have ever seen in a gym atmosphere in a long time. I have been going to the gym since my teens and this gym if for sure is top notch and hands down one of the best I have ever had a pleasure of being a member of.
Like others have mentioned... After cancelling my membership (coincidence?) I got hit with an additional monthly fee + an annual fee. $100 down the drain for a gym I have no access to. Save yourself the hassle - there are better gyms down the street.

Had a good experience with them for the year and a half. I've seen some other posts about how they try and charge you after the fact. This happened to me andif you reach out to the managers of the gym you go to, they are very friendly and take care of any problems/misunderstandings. Top of the line equipment and staff.

Fantastic gym!! Every time I come through Tampa for work I make it a point to come here. Extremely diverse and well maintained equipment. The staff are really friendly and helpful also. 5 stars! I wish this was my local gym!

This is a no nonsense, fully equipped gym. Very large and no lines to wait in for a machine. I've been to this location mornings, noon, and evenings and it's never been crowded. Yes, there are some accomplished body builders, but there are many more part-timers (like me) of all ages (I'm 60) there, so I've never felt the least bit conspicuous. I highly recommend this gym for all who seek any level of health and fitness.

Moved here from crunch. Everyone who walks in that door is serious about getting their workout done. Don't ever see anyone messing about. This gym definitely has a more experienced customer base than your average gym. Great atmosphere and great people.

Very large, beautiful facility. Seemed to attract very very fit people. The locker room was clean. Staff was friendly. Tons of equipment.
I was disappointed after the closing of their downtown location which I loved, but the new location is huge and just as great with a lot of new equipment and even has a much larger indoor turf for sports agility training.
Best gym ever. Really clean, huge gym, ample machines. I can get in and get out and stay focused. Seems like everyone who attends is serious about their routine. No riff raft lol.

Unbelievable gym, tons of equipment and caters for bodybuilding, functional training and more. The turf section is very cool and the range of equipment and sheer volume is impressive. Amazing place to get a workout, and there's a cafe on site too
Great staff, amazing facility, every weight and cardio machine imaginable!! Family owned which I love.
My husband and I moved to Tampa a little over a year ago and originally started working out at Gold's Gym off Dale Mabry. We were feeling discouraged about that choice and decided to give Powerhouse a try. It truly did make a huge difference. There is equipment for literally any workout you fancy. The hours are really helpful because our jobs have pretty crazy hours sometimes. I only wish they were 24/7. Maybe one day :) Also it would be really cool if they got a Jacobs Ladder. Anyway Juan at the front desk is a really helpful guy. All in all this is a great gym.
I love this gym. There is a good mix of people working out.... some of the dudes are HUGE. Lol. Visited three times while here for work, will definitely be back. Blows away any gym at a hotel, that's for sure. :)
Has all that a top quality gym needs, always had great experiences with the staff. Matt, one of the managers was very nice in working with him and would recommend this gym to anyone.
I love the gym it self. The space, the equipment, & the staff make the gym great. Only reasons I give a 3 star is because of the no guest rule. All other gyms have a guest pass & majority of them pay less. Others are about the same price.
Don't waste your time or money joining this gym. And definitely do not make the mistake of signing a contract with them and do not believe anything management tells you - they offered me a multi-gym membership so I could access the downtown gym when I complained, knowing full well that location was about to close. Classes offered are minimal. No Les Mills classes as advertised. Instructors don't show up to classes half of the time. Location stinks - it's difficult to get out of the parking lot during rush hour.
This gym is amazing! I have everything I need to workout and I am not limited to just cables and sitting machines, there's lots of free weights and powerlifting barbells to work with! Juan is awesome by the way! Ask for him!
