I signed up with this gym last summer before they opened this facility in October 2016. Turns out, I moved away from the area a few days after opening day so I never once stepped inside. I called to cancel my membership and was told that I couldn't cancel within 10 days of the billing date and had to go in person. With having a toddler and a crazy work schedule, I never got around to it. Finally, this past July I went in to cancel. First time ever walking into this place. I walked up to the desk and waited for a few minutes until bro finally asked what I needed. After explaining the situation, he clearly was off put that I wanted to cancel, and tried to sell me more stuff. But I was determined. He spent a couple minutes typing and then had me sign something and said it was cancelled. I walked out semi-happy, even though bro totally ignored me at first and treated me with digust. For a place that claims to have no judgement, I sure felt judged.
Flash forward to today. I checked my bank account and noticed that I was charged yesterday for the normal monthly fee. Upset, I go back further and notice charges each month even though I cancelled 3 months ago! Furious, I called the gym and the guy said my membership was never cancelled! I asked him what I signed for then and he wasn't really sure. That it was just a signature to keep on file. He then told me he was immediately cancelling my membership but that he had to put an email to corporate for my refund. This guy was much nicer but didn't really ease my worries or care that his coworker LIED to me about cancelling my membership.
This is the worst gym expereince I've ever had and looking into this further, I noticed that this has happened with MANY other people. Beware of who you do business with, who has access to your credit card information and always get copies of what you sign.
