It's a gym and a spa combo. The perfect retreat for mothers with young children. The kids club is so clean and amazing, and you can take a long quiet shower (because it's actually clean enough) and enjoy saunas and stuff while kids are in kids club. Plus the yoga classes/studio is very nice and restful. Highly recommend for quality childcare and the cleanest gym ever.

The best gym in the TB area. Awesome staff and amenities. I highly recommend Pilates with Janet. She is an exceptional instructor. After only a few classes I was able to feel a big difference. Major accolades to Janet and the staff of lifetime Tampa.

LOVE this gym, I've been told other locations are better and larger but I live in Tampa and I must say EVERYTHING about this location has been amazing especially the service! The manager Liz goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy and the staff greet me by name making It extremely personable. 5 stars all around!

Needed a good reset while on vacation. Missed my local lifetime fitness club. Truly enjoy my time here.

Surrender yoga was just what we need before traveling back home.

I got a free pass from my friend, and used it for a couple of times. This is the best gym I've ever been to by far. Very clean and plenty of all kinds of equipment. Monthly fee is kinda expensive, but it's worth it. I would consider switching from LA to Lifetime.

This was easily one of the worst experiences at a gym I've been to in years. I'm a paying member at a different location, the front desk lady was so rude to me and my friend. We were told by our gym that we wouldn't have to pay extra to use this gym for two weeks. The lady said we had to pay $60 A WEEK. Are you kidding me? Even my membership advisor called Tampa and tried to resolve the issue for us and was unable to. We got a 3 day pass and luckily my friend got the GM in Tampa to agree to let us use this gym.

Rude customer service.
Lazy and lousy personal trainers and classes.
The gym, even at peak times, basically empty.
The equipment provided is not nearly enough to justify the $120-150/month. I pay less in California and get easily 4 times more out of it with size and ammenities and quality of staff.

Don't go here. Don't waste your time. My experience almost made me cancel my membership in California all together. Very disappointed.

The cleanest gym I have ever been too! Love the amenities in the locker rooms and towel service. Cafe and Spa on-site are super convenient as is the location near the mall. The spa services are good, especially the Hydrafacial with Gloria. I don't take many group fitness classes but have been to a few (yoga, spin) and they were great.

I am Leonor Adams and I became a LT member a few weeks ago. I think this place is just EXCELLENT! They have taken care of everything: outstanding amenities, staff, and instructors. I am so pleased with my personal trainer, Dennis Anders, he provides a dedicated and professional training. I highly recommend this place :)

Just had the BEST MASSAGE EVER with Jenny at the Lifetime Fitness, Lifespa. Aside from her sunny disposition, Jenny listened to my concerns and took extra care to work on my trouble areas. To top it off, she custom blended some essential oils according to my personal preference and I am still enjoying the fragrance as I write this review. At the conclusion of my service, Jenny gave me personalized stretching recommendations that will help alleviate some of the chronic pain that prompted me to get a massage. The service that I received at the spa and from Andre, the gymn manager, far exceeded my expectations. Kudos to Jenney, Lifespa, and Lifetime Fitness!

Loud bad unnerving music is in every space of this small gym for the price of a huge gym. No pool and to make it worse the music gets louder at the beginning of every song And they have commercials too. Would be great if the price was $75 a month cheaper and not pollute the air with so much noise.

A little lengthy but I promise worth the read- know before you go-
Club and amenities are incredible, kid care as well. Problem came in when I was told by my account manager I could cancel my membership at any time when I signed up. Time came where I wasn't able to continue membership and called to cancel, I was told then that they require 30 days notice and I have to come into the club to cancel. I told them this is not what I was told previously and they basically told me tough, it's in the fine print of the contract you signed.
Fast forward three months, I've sent five-six emails to cancel and 3-4 phone calls as well and they're still trying to charge my card and sending my emails and calls that I owe over $1000 for a membership I have been trying to cancel for three months- note- at this point I still had not had time to go to the club to cancel in person, hence why I wanted to cancel in the first place.
I finally make it into the club to speak with a manager who was very understanding and empathetic and said he would try to help get my account credited as much as possible and some sort of reduction to cancel, I said given the circumstance and what I was told by the Lifetime Account manager it would be fair to split the difference and I will pay a half month of dues to cancel. He agreed and said he'd try to get that approved.
I was still getting notices via email and finally received one offering one months dues- $314 to bring account current and continue membership. I responded that I cannot continue membership at this point but I would be willing to pay half month and cancel membership now.
The customer retention rep told me the best he could do would be me to pay $225 over the next two months and then in 60 days if I still want to cancel I can cancel then.....
I've been trying to cancel this membership for three months! Last thing I want to do is prolong this anymore!

Take this story and use it as you wish, really a great place just unbelievable this experience.

Really too bad, I would've loved to return to Lifetime when circumstances changed but with this treatment and experience, I never will...

I have been a Founding member at another location in Virginia, started as a Diamond, and dropped to Onyx after a few year. I paid $160 for both my wife and I. When I heard that it was that much for just myself, I was like there is no way I am paying that much for a gym membership. My wife even told me to cancel after the one week satisfaction guarantee. I went in and took a tour. Called my wife and told her that I was going to stay a member because it is never packed (huge factor), the amenities are terrific, people are nice (I love the lady that signed me up) and just everything that you get with a monthly membership. Expensive? Yes, no doubt. But if you think about it, if the membership was $40 a month, everyone would be a member and it'd be packed to where you have to wait for a squat rack or any machine you're trying to use. It is expensive for a reason. It's not about bragging that you pay more than 90% of all people (you'd look pretty dumb), it's about getting what you pay for. I don't even have a job! I am a student at a pilot school not far away, and this is worth changing some of my monthly expenses around for.

Outstanding facility for a workout or a massage. If you get a massage see Andrea, best I have had in years!

October 24, 2017 17:12

Plenty of Squatting racks, mass amounts of treadmills and extremely clean with amazing options for full body workouts. Not to mention a yoga room, 2 studios and a open floor plan to train safely. Granted they do not have a pool but they have the knowledge to make a change in your way of life. We pay more for actual change in our daily lives. Ive lost a lot of weight in a healthy way and i have kept it off. The alpha class is amazing, and the instructors are there for you ! Kids Academy is awesome, they watch your kids and teach them things all while trying to get them UP AND MOVING. Cafe has great options for the whole family, building muscle, losing weight, maintaining or detox they got you covered. I have more energy, know more about healthy foods and a healthy way of life and Ive learned a crazy amount of workouts from Terry . I love this place and highly recommend this establishment for a family, athlete or a person serious about changing their way of life. Front end always makes me feel welcomed, they did a great job of finding the right people to great you . I like the fact that random people cant come in to do a walk through unless they have an appointment. Security is a huge thing when you have kids in the facility so it makes me feel good that they stick to their guns and let you know to come back with an appointment .

Worst experience ever. Asking $150 a month? What are you really selling? I have been to several faIilities and I do not recommend this facility for reasons of cost compared to there other facilities narionwide. Over priced and not enough perks or benefits to justify cost.
