Overpriced. I got a membership over the summer because I needed a lap pool closer to home compared to the public one. Every time I went the pool either had bandaids in it or it was dirty. The pools are consistently busy and you will be sharing a lane majority of the time. Most of that lane sharing is going to be with a person that is water jogging, but everyone needs to exercise and they paid for the pool too. They usually empty the hot tub every few weeks to clean it but it doesn't get filled timely. There were more than a few times I didn't see a lifeguard the entire swim.

Best gym in tally not saying much, they have classes but they're mostly middle of the work day so working folks don't have many options

Membership is very expensive 60 plus and doesn't include a locker or towels both are an upcharge on top of the 60 plus.

The steam room has never worked, the lap pool is always full and it's too small for this size gym and membership cost.

Premier is a traditional American gym that has everything. Weights, machines (although bit old), basketball, racketball, lap pool, aerobics pool, steamroom, and just about every fitness class you can think of like yoga to TRX. The culture is very friendly with a good mix of people from serious bodybuilders, high school students just starting out, and retired couples trying to keep fit. No judgment, come as you are and dont be afraid to ask for some help.

I would have given it at best 2 1/2 stars. It has most if not all functions that you can expect from a gym. But here is where it all ends. Upper and lower body workout machines are antiquated, going back 15-20 years at least. Reupholstering does not change it. I just came back from Philadelphia where I joined a gym for 1 month. The equipment there was far more advanced. Also, Premier cleanliness is mediocre. Swimming pool and hottub are broke quite often. Walking track is worn out. To summarize, it seems like the gym including it's management need a rejuvenation.

Love having access to a heated pool in cool and cold weather. I'm in it year-round.

This facility is the best if you are looking for the use of a pool. The variety of classes is excellent, and there are plenty of machines. The instructors are all really great!

Everything is pretty good since I get a discount through work but I wished they were 24 hours.

I am impressed with the facility, running track, pool etc. I found the staff who works there nice. However, here are some things I did not like. They close at 10 PM on weekdays and 6PM on weekend which is early IMO for about $60 per month membership fee. Also, takes very long to fix if something gets broken. In the showers soap containers are often out of soap. Sometimes I like to chat with others there, above are the common concerns they talk about. I'd recommend the management do an online feedback/satisfaction survey to better address the low points.

Lots of well kept equipment. The staff is always super helpful even for making suggestions for different services. I've gotten a massage for my back pain with a recommendation of masseuse from the front desk; Had an upbeat cardio workout in Power Barre with Becky; and had my little sister in the daycare center as well with not problem. We always get the whole family there and there's something to do for everyone.

Very good gym. Any type of gym equipment you could want to use along with steam rooms, sauna, indoor track, pool and all kinds of classes. Also they have basket ball court and racket ball courts.

Thanks to David, training instructor, and staff for making visits worthwhile. Also, the lifeguard and pool are great!

Comprehensive health and fitness. Great facilities and people.

As a well traveled bodybuilder I'd like to relay this is one of the best gyms I've been to. The predominant clientele and ambience isn't my desired pick but the superior equipment, friendly staff and amenities eclipse the aforementioned gripe. Happy member here!

Hands down the best gym in Tallahassee. Now, one may not agree here but that depends of what you are looking for in a gym. For me, I need more than a bunch of equipment that I either don't know how to use, or need to wait in line to use! What's also important to me is the availability of classes. Sure, there are far cheaper gyms in town, but they offer much less. All of the gyms I know of have some sort of a contract and upfront fee and this place is no different....that is unless you are a law enforcement (sworn) officer. Here are some of the things that attracted me to this gym:

Classes
Equipment
Basketball court
Racquetball room
Indoor track (small but it's still something no other gyms in town have)
Year round heated pool (both lap pool and swimming pool)
Jacuzzi
Swimming lessons
Lifeguard on duty
Large exercise room where classes are held
2-levels
Steam room and sauna
Mirror TV's in the bathroom
Massage therapy available (additional cost but not too pricey)
Tropical smoothie café
Small library area
Child care
Hours of operation (no they aren't 24 hours but I am not trying to work out at 2am. They open up early enough for the average early bird and remain open late enough for those who don't work standard banker's hours)

When I went in for my initial tour, I did not feel any pressure to join. (Gosh I've had that so many times at other gyms!) This place stays pretty busy but I haven't found an issue with parking. There is a key rack by the front desk for those that may wish to hang their keys. There are keyless lockers available and they are a great size. The bathrooms are clean and I often see staff in there cleaning. There are wipes stations to help ensure the equipment remains clean. I also see the floor associates (in the red shirts) that walk around checking the equipment but they are also available for any guest needs. They are usually around so you wouldn't have to walk all the way downstairs to find someone if a problem arose.

I definitely come here and spend a couple of hours. It's easy to keep a gym bag packed, enjoy a workout, the pool or sauna, shower, grab a smoothie and then go run some errands! So yes, it's going to be about $65 or so per month, but with all that I mentioned above, doesn't it sound worth it... or at least worth a try??

Great facility, clean with a friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is there aren't enough hours dedicated in the gym for pickleball play. On the days that are available there are 25-30 people trying to get a match in on three courts. The wait time to play is crazy. The majority of the time the gym is sparsely used. I'm not sure why pickleball can't get more gym time allotted. A couple of evening slots for play would sure be nice!

Visited with my friend who is a member for a workout class. The center is very nice with upgraded amenities and very nice equipment. The multi-level center also has a heated outdoor pool (closed due to cold temps), a basketball court and a studio room where our workout took place. The studio was well equipped and the accessories (steps, barbells, mats etc) were in very good condition. I was very pleased with the ladies locker room which featured restrooms, showers, a sauna and a steam room. All clean and in great condition. It is obvious why this place is so popular! However, the hours of operation are not long enough, especially if you get off at 5 and have to travel to NE Tallahassee. Also, the price is high for a monthly membership.

Awesome place!!! Nothing like it in Tallahassee. Excellent weight and cardio equipment. My favorite areas are the steam room, hot tub and the heated pool. I also love the variety of classes that are offered.

Fantastic gym. Clean, has tons of equipment, a pool, basketball court, and indoor track. The locker rooms are newly renovated (I believe) and are stunning. The showers are very nice and the sauna and steam room are a great way to relax after your workout.

Premier has plenty of equipment of various types (cardio, strength, etc.) They could offer more classes, but the ones they do offer are generally pretty good! The showers are beautiful and very private, and all of the customer service personnel are friendly.

My only real complaint is with the childcare...some of the childcare employees are absolutely excellent, but others leave something to be desired. I had one situation where an employee took my 3.5-month old son into the back room, turned all of the lights off, and blared the TV as loud as it would go, "because he wouldn't stop crying". When I arrived to pick him up, he was hysterical and I was livid. Thankfully, that childcare employee stopped working there at the end of 2016. Several of the younger childcare employees sit around without really interacting with the children, and will interrupt your workout and have you come get your child as soon as they start fussing, which kind of defeats the purpose of paying extra for childcare so that you can work out. However, the older employees really care about the children and work hard to keep them happy and safe. Anytime one of the older employees came and got me, I knew that they had tried everything they could think of to calm my baby down and weren't just interrupting my workout out of laziness.

Overall, this would be an excellent gym for someone who doesn't have children, and a good gym for someone who needs childcare during workouts. Just plan your workouts around the schedules of the older childcare employees! ;-)

A wonderful place to work out. Good well maintained equipment and helpful staff.

Great facility, terrible administration. They are very keen to sign you up but could care less about you once they have your membership. Case in point, the website is littered with ways to open a membership but no information on canceling one. They try to insist that you show up in person to cancel. I recommend being prepared to dispute charges.

This is a very clean, well maintained building. Never crowded. I love the indoor track and monthly locker rentals. The staff is very friendly. The full service Smoothie Cafe is awesome.
