We had some major issues with our room however Guest services smoothed out all our concerns in a very courteous and timely manner. In fairness to the hotel our issues are a direct result of the recent shut down due to Covid 19.
It's right on Gaines street so walking distance to everything. Campus, restaurants, bars and even the stadium. The room even has a small kitchen. Best hotel near FSU by far.
Very good mixer Tuesday night. Beer, wine and meatball subs meant I didn't need to go find dinner in an unknown area. Breakfast was good as Marriott always is. The ladies preparing the food both times were delightful.
Great location in relationship to the Florida State University. Only 3 stars because of the not so clean hallways and staircase which was way more convenient to use than the elevators. Took the other star away because they charged me a pet fee and we didn't have a pet. We left our daughters 10 pound, hypoallergenic, non-shedding Morkie there for 2 hours while we went to dinner and wham... pet fee!!!
It doesn't surprise me though since a $120 dollar room gets jacked up to over $800 during graduation, all about the money.
The hotel is located in the city center, so you can easily walk to the city hall and to the University campus. Nearby is the wonderful Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille restaurant. We were given two rooms on the third floor. The room with the windows to the courtyard was quiet, but in the room with windows to the street was a buzz from a nearby pipe. I asked to change this number for us, but in return we were given a room on the 4th floor with a terrible sound from the hood in the bedroom. Despite the fact that the hotel was almost empty, we were not offered other rooms. So, we returned to our first room. The rooms themselves are spacious, clean, but with a noisy fridge. Two bottles of water as a gift were pleasant. There was coffee and tea in the lobby, heated pool, games area. Overall a good hotel.
Great staff, it was a very clean environment for business, personal, or family fun!!!! Easy access to other restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel if you have to stay in Tallahassee for a day or a week.
Front desk staff will greet you coming and going. Letting you know how important you are to them. I wish I could have given 10 stars

Great place to stay. They have everything you could need. The rooms are clean. Everything looks brand new. The rooms are stocked with whatever you need for an extended stay (cutlery, dishes, pots, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher). Breakfast is great, with a wide variety of options. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Finally, as an added bonus every evening there is free beer and wine with an appetizer! We had curry chicken and falafel with taziki sauce. I would definitely recommend staying here. The only drawback was that you have to pay for parking. Great hotel all around. 5 stars.

Excellent hotel! We stayed for a weekend getaway. Great location, VERY clean, awesome staff, comfy bed, yummy breakfast, we felt very pampered... it was perfect! Cant wait to stay here again!

Had reservations almost a year in advance for our sons graduation. Loved how close we were to the venue but was totally disappointed with the room. Be aware of the bar across the street blaring thumping music till 2 am. The hotel was aware and moved us to a different room but I was still disappointed with the fact that they knew of the problem but placed us in this room anyway. The front desk has the bar on speed dial. We were compt the night but it was just frustrating since we booked so far in advance.

Nice hotel with welcoming atmosphere. Large, clean rooms with comforts of home. Great location and good rates. Would stay here again.
Very nice! Truly exceptional staff. The rooms here were really nice and clean. This place is family oriented and its conveniently located close to plenty of things to do with the kids. I would recommend this motel and we will be returning in the future.

Total awesome price, staff and free beer. The rooms were very clean and it just became my go-to place when visiting Tallahassee (once or twice a month).
Nice hotel. Great food and free drinks early in the week. Staff very nice and helpful. They have a shuttle and will pick you up from the airport and give rides around town.
Simplys at the Residence Inn by Marriott Tallahassee at the universities were amazing. The place was very clean, the employees very attentive, and breakfast was actually good. I did have some issues with room placement, but they were quick to move me to a quieter room and address any issues. I stayed there for 4 weeks.
Great hotel very beautiful and updated. They have an amazing breakfast with lots of yummy choices to choose from for every dietary need. Its location is walking distance to lots of places to eat,visit and do.
The room was very nice and clean, the carpets were being shampooed my first day there. The bathroom and kitchen area were both well maintained with no obvious issues. The social mixers on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were excellent with delicious food and a great selection of beers. The area around the hotel had a great mix of food and drink options and it was very convenient to the airport.

Great place to stay overall, no complaints about the hotel service, the suites are clean and well maintained. Great Breakfast and Afternoon Mixers. Friendly Staff. The only downfall is it's close to the road and bars with loud bands during the week so it was hard to rest.

This is a beautiful hotel with an inviting and comfortable lobby and foyer area. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by staff who were very friendly and helpful. The general area of the hotel seemed a bit out of place but the facility itself was pleasant. Security was above standard with key card readers at every door and even to go up the elevator after hours. My room was well organized and laid out in an inviting and pleasant way. The room did not smell great, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It didn't stink, but it was a bit of a stale smell. Overall, pleasant stay with nice amenities.
Stayed overnight while traveling. Friendly staff, clean rooms, appetizers with wine, beer and sodas was delicious. Only complaint is the sleeper sofa has a chincy, springy mattress. Only dated part of the rooms are the rough, dated wall and ceiling textures. Popcorn ceiling makes it FEEL like it's not updated.
One of the cleaner hotels we have stayed at but we had some problems that were somewhat inexcusable. First we found a LIVE roach in our microwave. Management said they spray monthly and they offered to take care of our bill for the evening. I'm still confused about why it was there because the place seemed very clean. Second, when we pulled dishs out of the cupboard they were extremely dirty and still had lots of food on them. Quite simply, they had never been washed. We asked the front desk for liquid dish soap but they said they didn't have any. However, they told us to use some of the powdered dish machine soap to hand wash the dishes. Not really an acceptable solution. Breakfast was very good both mornings we were there, and the staff was extremely helpful if you needed to substitute and item because of allergies or gluten free needs. Overall, I wish we didn't have the problems we had, however, the hotel did a pretty good job handling some of the problems.
Rooms are clean and the staff is very nice. They had a wine and beer happy hour one evening complimentary to guests. The beer was great!
We did a mobile check in. Arrived at hotel around 8:30 and was given keys. Got up to the room and keys did not work. Somehow room was given to someone else. Staff apologized and quickly gave us another room. Went back upstairs and new room was handicap accessible . We did NOT ask for an accessible room. Called down and advised the front desk of yet another minor check in error. ~~Overall, the stay was okay. Breakfast was hot. Coffee was good. Rooms were clean.

Our two room suite was nice, had plenty of dishware, a full fridge, and comfortable beds including an extra fold-out bed. Located across the street from a whiskey bar and brewery that were not crowded with FSU students like in the places closer to campus. The pool, spa, and breakfast buffet were also nice. Be aware that there is a $10/day charge for a parking permit, and only one car permitted even for the two room suites.
The rooms are very clean and spacious. Pets are allowed. Best of all, it is walking distance to FSU campus. This was our favorite place to stay during our daughters college years. The staff is wonderful and Keith the manager was very helpful to us with regard to reservation issues. You can also walk to restaurants and railroad station shops. Highly recommend this hotel!
