I loved the environment, the lady at the front desk (? Dee) and our instructor (Cheryl) were marvelous. My first class, Intro to Yoga was welcoming and informative. I look forward to going back next week.

I had not done yoga in a long time, several years. In the first 5 minutes, I thought "I can't do this ... it's too much." But I let go of the thought and with gentle effort and support from the teacher and class, I made it through. It was amazing to be able to experience the way in which, over these years, I had "compressed," become tight and unyielding. I am excited for my next class!

I've been going 10+ yrs to the Garden of the Heart Yoga. The teachers are knowledgeable, insightful, and helpful in reaching your goals. I love going there.

I've taken yoga classes from 100's of teachers in many many studios, but this one is truly a garden of the heart. What grows here is love, kindness, practice and grace that will change every cell of you. Amazing place with very special teachers. I'm forever better and eternally grateful for the Garden of the Heart Yoga Center and all it's kula.

Garden of the Heart Yoga Center is the real deal! The name is very appropriate to all that is offered: the opportunity to cultivate love through yoga postures, breath, meditation, healthy living and community. The teachers are wonderful and there are classes for every level of student from beginners through advanced including restorative yoga, couples yoga and a yoga teacher training program. There is also monthly kirtan (chanting), workshops with center staff and guest teachers and a karma yoga outreach program that offers free classes to adults and children with special needs. My evaluation comes from a yoga background of many years. My experience over the past two years at GOH has been one of a returning home that began when I started taking gentle and restorative classes thinking that was as far as I would go at this stage of my life. With the support and safety provided, I have been able to go farther and deeper than I ever imagined!

Just took my first class here and it was wonderful. The space is just beautiful, so much natural light and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere. I took the class with Jaye Martin and he's absolutely amazing. I already signed up for a class tomorrow morning, I can't wait to go back again.

First experience walking into a yoga center, which was a bloody disaster. I had no idea that the purpose of yoga was to train your brain to only be calm in complete silence. From my understanding it is about inner peace. I walked in thinking I might be able to maybe find out how to apply for a job. I was being completely quiet and courteous, just checking out flyers because I'm someone who doesn't like to sit in my house and be bored. The moment I saw this lady walk towards me, I felt this overwhelming urge to apologize although I'm fairly certain that it's not my fault I'm new to these kinds of places (I typically do yoga at home, and I'm kind of glad I do now). Basically I guess I was supposed to find out online if they have any opportunities? I was shooed by this yoga instructor woman, she said "right now isn't a good time" In any case, I'm SO so greatful that I visited first, because now I now that this place is run by an uptight person who thinks they are trying to be positive, but I think she's gonna have to put a negativity mirror right on her forehead to get rid of her personal demons.

This is much more than a yoga studio - it is a community and offers yoga and beyond.
Classes are led by extremely experienced and well trained teachers. The classes cover a wide range of abilities from beginners to advanced. The studio itself is centrally located in Sarasota in a small strip mall that has a variety of wellness options. It is clean and inviting. In addition to the daily classes they have kirtan, many workshops and a strong community focused Karma Yoga Program.
