I love the classes and the people that go there and work there are very friendly. The equipment is superb
The Y has an excellent indoor six lane pool with diligent lifeguards.
Just received the e mail today that this location is closing. Sad because it is a great facility with great employees. A credit to the Sarasota area and it will be a different feeling knowing it is not there anymore.
A worker of yours, the name Alejandra Pinerio, has given me and my girlfriend the worst service we could expect. We've never had a problem going to the YMCA, but wow, she rushed us as if we were in her time. I couldn't even ask a question or two.

YMCA is one of the places where seniors can participate in ballroom dancing. A short course before the 7-10 pm dance evening. Live orchestra, $10 entrance fee is a bargain. I can imagine that lot of other programs are organized here. I managed to take a few 360 panorama photos. The saturday dances warmly recommended to all seniors, woman or man.

My family used to use the aftercare service they provide to Southside Elementary. We did enjoy the program as a whole last year. We were not frequent users and were allowed to use the service at our convenience and charged accordingly. This flexibility is no longer provided to us due to new management. We have not used their services this school year but have been charged $225.00.
I sent my 8-year-old daughter to the gymnastics summer camp at the Sarasota YMCA and it was fantastic. For a kid visiting from New York who knew nobody there, they were welcoming, friendly, and made sure to integrate her among the other kids. The facility is spacious, clean, well maintained, and the coaches were attentive, encouraging, challenging and fun. Laura, the head coach, is extremely friendly and makes sure that in addition to learning gymnastics, the kids learn good sportsmanship. It was a great experience and I would definitely send my daughter again.
Lack of security for camp and child care! My daughter was to go to camp incredible , you walk in and check your child in assuming they are in a safe child zone and secure. I was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the overall area as well as all the broken toys. Nothing for these children to do broken crayons everywhere no paper to color on etc. We decided this was not the camp for us , my daughter and I left. NOBODY realized there was a child missing from their check in from that morning. I never received a call to ask where my child was. This is very concerning that they do not realize how many children they are responsible for and that a child could so easily slip away with no knowledge. We will no longer be apart of the YMCA or their summer camps.
The Y is a good gym. Peak times are busy (like everyother gym out there... good luck finding a gym to go to after work that isn't packed.) I have no complaints about the Y. I never get bothered while working out or feel uncomfortable. Great gym for anyone who wants a comfortable experience.
Very disappointed in the decline of this gym. Not enough weights in season.
