After trying out a number of places in Sarasota and being disappointed, I found SFC. Coach Alan allows you to try it out for free before deciding, and halfway through my workout I knew this was the place for me. The price is well below anything else around, the atmosphere brings out your inner warrior, and the training/guidance from Coach Alan is invaluable. In just over a month, I have lost 25 pounds and my body is getting shredded like it was when I was a younger athlete. On days where I train there, I cannot wait to get out of work and get to the gym. Everyone there works as a team to help everyone else, and Coach Alan's method of teaching works for anyone who is looking to learn boxing or to just get in shape. This is the ONLY place I will train.

As a girl it's hard to find a gym that doesn't have testosterone filled intimidation. At SFC I have found just that. Walking in I was worried, I never like that feeling of being around steroid juiced guys that make you feel dumb asking if you need help every 5 seconds. But This gym is filled with people, both male and females, simply looking to get fit and have fun pushing yourself to do it. No intimidation here. No feeling of "Oh gosh please don't make fun of me" when doing something I'm not particularly strong in.

Don't let the outside fool you. It's not the type of gym that has a pampered type of feel. It's the type you'd see rocky in, training hard for his next competition, and the saying is true, If they don't have it, you DON'T need it (when talking about equipment). Coach has started a love/hate relationship with me. I hate him during the workout. He pushes hard, encouraging, but kick my butt every time type of thing. I love him before the workout, he's easy to talk to about anything you need, and after the workout for the results and the sore. No pain, no gain. The price for this type of workout is unheard of anywhere else and is super AFFORDABLE for everyone. Overall it's a great comfortable gym to work out in. Especially as a female, it's important to me to find a place I'm not only having fun at working my butt off, but also a place that I don't feel judge for what I can or can not do. Just a warning! BE PREPARED TO SWEAT AND BE SORE!

Sarasota Fight and Fitness Club is the single best place to train in Sarasota. Coach Sleit is knowledgeable and constantly helpful, providing a caliber of one-on-one training that you won't find anywhere else for even close to $25. Everyone there does a phenomenal job of creating a welcoming environment and helping newcomers get their bearings. I can't recommend it enough.

Sarasota Fight Club is a great environment for building great fighters. Coach Alan is to say the least a respectful teacher and a master of his craft with a lot of knowledge and skills in boxing, not to mention his patience and eagerness to teach those who are serious about fighting. To top it all off, the gym fits my taste with it's old school atmosphere and incredibly low prices.

Coach Alan is incredible instructor, I've been taking private lessons for a while now and he always is very understanding, encouraging and supportive. If you want to get in shape or just have fun he is the one to work with.

A solid place for someone who is really about their business. Not for someone who's trying to get pampered, get their skin lathered in the finest of drapes and get slapped with Dora band-aids everytime they fall. Nah, This is where rocks are chiseled b. This is where they take some grimy piece of coal from some uncharted caves- press it in a furnace at 3,000 degrees and come out a diamond shimmering in the Sun, reflecting all types of light. The trainers are more than qualified, they have the patients of Monks while still being down to Earth and easy to talk to and easier to learn from. In a month you'll be splitting atoms without flexing a bicep, no joke. The location may pass you by if you don't got a treasure map but it's the place b.
