The BEST yoga studio I have been a part of. Very clean, very friendly and always a rejuvenating experience. Wonderful instructors who no matter how full the class make sure to give you the attention you need. Love it here, plan on being a member for a while!

St. Pete Yoga manager was cold, disinterested and heartless to me and my plight. If I could give a negative 100 review number I would. Ironically, I had just an hour earlier been reading over St. Pete Yoga's class schedule and had been considering taking classes there. Of course now that I see what a heartless place it must be I will never take a class there. This incident occurred on Monday, June 24th 2019 at approximately 3:45 PM.

I explained that Rollin Oats Management had made several announcements for the owner of the Red Ford 150 pickup truck, Florida Tag nbr. HIT A50 to
Kindly back their truck out of their space to allow me access to my car.

I had sustained injuries from an accident that did not permit me the flexibility to climb in from the passengers bucket seat over the console.
My frozen items were melting and my refrigerated items where getting warmer.
This yoga mansger informed me the class would be an hour and I just had to wait. I explained that I would be forced to impound the truck and that I will tell your student that you chose not to warn him/her by making a quick announcement.
If you like cold, disinterested and heartless yoga Centers this is a good place to go.

I love St. Pete Yoga!! They offer a variety of classes and workshops. All of the instructors are very friendly and make each person feel comfortable being there...no matter what yoga experience or level they are exploring. They always take time to answer questions and/or offer helpful suggestions.

I went to a workshop called "Yoga for the Back: Brain, Life, and Body". I have terrible back problems and looked forward to this. This was a 2 1/2 hour workshop, the first 90 minutes (or more) of which was spent sitting on a yoga mat on a concrete floor. Now, if you don't have back issues, you may not know what this means. But to anyone with back issues, you know that this was NOT good for a bad back. In fact during the instructor's talk, she literally said, "Sitting is the new smoking - it is that bad for you." The instructor clearly knew what she was talking about in terms of the body, the spine, muscles etc. But what this workshop obviously was, was a marketing ploy. There was very little time spent on helpful postures or answering specific questions. There was a lot of advising of signing up for the Restorative classes (which guess what, are taught by same instructor), coming back when this workshop is run again, and of hanging in a swing. Well I don't have a swing - guess who does...that's right St Pete yoga. There were also many mentions of private sessions with the instructor; my assumption is that these would only lead to more private sessions with said instructor. Oh, and there was DVD we could buy. There were some questionable statements made which go against advice I have gotten from my chiropractor and physical therapist. I won't be going back.

This studio has thoughtfully changed my life. Thru all styles of class I have enjoyed learning and growing with expert instruction by mindful kind professional yogis. Chris and his study are a true gem in St Petersburg.

The facility is very beautiful... aesthetically this space is so pleasing.

The floors are concrete, they offer free mats and encourage you to take two but still a bit off putting.

I was looking for something they don't really offer and hoping that the restorative class would be similar - it isn't, so my disappointment is in part self inflicted.

But the biggest issue I had is the instructor trying to push me to take class types I have zero interest in... even after I repeatedly told her I wasn't interested she kept coming up with more analogies (somewhat insulting analogies at that) to "plant a seed". After 50 years of confidently navigating the planet I know what I like/want/need in my life and it's not this studio

This is not a yoga studio. They offer a few simple excercises and incorporate maybe 5 yoga poses. Classes are exactly the same every time you go to the same class. They play no music. If you are really into yoga don't waste your time.

Swing classes are a nice change of pace. Overall the classes lack the spiritual/theory parts of yoga that a lot of us really enjoy. I have had a much more positive experience at The Body Electric.

I signed up yesterday at the studio and was reassured that I would be able to use a chair in the restorative class. I just received a phone call from Chris, the owner, who told me I would not be able to. He did offer to try to help me get up and down off of the floor and when my schedule didn't mesh with his, he told me that they simply couldn't have me on a chair because I would be disruptive to the rest of the class and the instructor could only give me 50% and the class 50% and that wasn't the studio standard. He used bullying tactics to try to persuade me to come in when it wasn't convenient for me and absolutely would not agree to let me use a chair!! What? This guy was a jerk about the whole situation and several times suggested that I go somewhere else where maybe they could accommodate my disability. So.... If you have special needs, THIS IS NOT THE STUDIO FOR YOU!

I love the restorative class. It helps me to slow down and connect with my breath.

I've tried a wide variety of classes and workshops and have found St Pete Yoga has something available for virtually everybody. Whether you're recovery from an injury , looking to improve your inner self or a high level athlete, they have sessions for you.
Their mindful approach allows one to adjust each class to what's appropriate for you today and is a refreshing change to some other studios "no pain, no gain" mentality.

I agree with Emily Shouppe. This is not authentic yoga. It's got some yoga poses in it but it feels more like an exercise class. It feels very watered down and corporate. I have done yoga for many years and have taken two classes here. The staff and the front desk area are very nice but it just doesn't do it for me. I doubt that I will return.
