The Good: As someone who knows the ins and outs of this place I can say that this place is certainly different, offers very high end equipment (in certain areas) and provides a lot of variety... but it's a mostly hollow experience.
The Bad: Management is very weak, disorganized, and no one is on the same page. No one is punctual and no one really wants to be there, especially the trainers. They are friendly and provide quality PT, but I cannot say that for each trainer. No one is ever there on time, so that really says something about the effort of those who are supposed to be positive and have a genuine attitude.
The ugly: This place is a sitting duck asking for a lawsuit and the "high end" classes are useless. You can get a far better experience at home using p90X or getting a true professional PT for $85 a month. Class times are hardly flexible and extremely limited for many.
Hell there aren't even enough class times. The cleaning crew is lazy and I stated multiple times to the GM where they refused to clean... and almost 2 months had gone by with no change.
Furthermore, I'm the only one who made the effort to wipe equipment or noticed the lack of wet floor signs which of course are needed as there are several leaks unattended to across the whole facility (if signs aren't put up, a business can be sued if someone falls and hurts themselves).
Here's the worst part, the entire infrastructure still mainly runs on paper. This place cost 3 million dollars to renovate and it's still running itself on paper records?! Ludicrous. As is how slowly this place progresses through it's pointless meetings and surface level marketing. The computer system is complete rubbish and double bills people, freezes people without notice and cannot notify members/staff via email.
Final words: this place was intended to be a high end gym. But the owners refused to do market research on Americans (as they are from Brazil) and solve problems by just throwing money at it. They slapped it all together horribly within a year. It's also smack dab in the middle of Pinellas Park.... and they expect this place to grow from there? Laughable... but hey... the equipment is nice so, by all means join up!
(Just be aware when they forget to mention a $60 annual fee after 3 months of joining and raising the monthly fee. Too many delayed promises, too many false promises.)
