Listen y'all, this YMCA is a family-friendly, clean facility. I am a young adult and I enjoy being in an environment with kids to elderly all pursuing fitness. I have tried several classes and all are awesome! (Zumba, yoga, spin, HIT classes, etc). I swim and have never had an issue with getting a lane. Even during the busiest hours I can usually use the equipment I want to and have space to do workouts.
HOWEVER, the hours are limited, the staff is not the most personable, and the cost is outrageous. I eventually moved to Youfit in SODO to save money and have more flexibility on when I could work out.
Great facility with new equipment, bb court, basketball courts, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, hot rock & steam spa with towel service. All I want now is longer hours!
We love working out here. They have so many great classes and rooms full of equipment. The location is always nice and clean. The steam room and sauna is an added bonus!
Great Place to go get healthy
The Y is always and will always be a great place to be. Amazing way to get a work out, kids into camp or lessons, swimming, swim teams, water polo possibly. Amazing hospitality and they are great with children.
I enjoyed these place very family oriented and going places a very bright feature awaits just go and see for ur self i bet ull like it too nice pools gyms and clases very nice

I wanted to get a membership through the scholarship program that they had. Based on the income that I had and my age group, they told me that $50.00 dollars was the best that they could do. I told them that I could only afford $35.00. They refused me because they was going off a chart that they had. I did not think they refused anyone because of inability to pay but I guess they do. But the executive certainly does know how to give themselves a nice $100,000 plus salary every year. Interesting.

This is nice gym don't get me wrong but i always come here without hesitation and i walked threw the door they ask me what am i am here for i told them i was with a client. Than i proceed to walk towards the weight another manger came and ask me again i told him the same reason and than he said that there new people here and the probley didn't recognize me. I stayed and watch and they didn't do it to anyone else. I guess i look different thank you for ruining my experience.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership. They require you to do it in person and 30 days before your billing cycle, so you're still stuck paying another fee. Terrible!
AWESOME Y, I love the fact that this gym and center is walking distance, love the sense of community!
This Y has a cozy feel to it with several workout areas indoor and outdoor pool. My favorite feature is the steam room, the temperature is just right.
My favorite place to workout!! The staff is super friendly and helpful. My kids can play safely in kid zone while I get my workout in and they have swimming clases too which my kids participate in twice a week.
The downtown YMCA is an excellent gym that offers a wide selection of cardio, strength and endurance training options. The friendly staff is a pleasure to interact with during your training. Highly recommended for beginner to advanced training.

Great cause ~ yes, there's a lot more to the YMCA than the gym ~ it's the heart of the community. BUT ~ the gym part is fantastic! If you swim, indoor AND outdoor 25 meter pools. Has it all.
So happy we joined the Y! We have been coming to this location as well as several others across Central Florida for almost 5 years now. Justin and his staff are fantastic and the facility is super clean. It's also cool seeing all the stuff they do for the local community downtown.
