Welcoming atmosphere.
This is among the best places to train hands down. I have been fortunate enough to participate in the veterans program that they offer. I immediately fell in love with the practice! Mitch is an awesome coach who creates a safe and instructive atmosphere. Everyone is extremely respectful and encouraging to their instructor and their fellow classmates. It is a great community of people for these reasons. The practice of jiu-jitsu is incredibly inspiring no matter what your skill level is. I wish that I had found it long ago. It is also a mentally challenging practice that has increased my focus, motivation, discipline and connection with others. If you are looking for a practice that will help you develop as a person on all levels, then jiu-jitsu is the way to go. On top of that, there is no better place to learn than American Combat Club.
I came to this gym 5 years ago as a purple belt, and immediately knew these were the guys I should have started learning from in the beginning. Having been in the fight game for 13 years, trained with many different coaches, been part of multiple fight teams in multiple cities, without question the best coaching I've had my whole fighting career. I only regret not having found them sooner.

If you are a novice at MMA/JJ this gym is not for you. Your experience with the younger instructors will ruin you for this sport.
Horrible parking. Dirty, smelly, mats and dark and dirty rolling area. Young, impatient, and sarcastic instructor (when I was there in my first class I was verbally harassed and insulted several times right in front of the entire class). Because of my experience at this dojo and with this specific instructor I will never attempt MMA/JJ no-gi ever again.
If the owner/management is reading this review you really need to evaluate your younger instructors to see if their aptitude is righteous and true. My experience at your dojo absolutely ruined me from ever wanting to learn any MMA/JJ for as long as I live and it is a shame because I really wanted to learn and be good at it.

Needed a place to workout since I was visiting. This place is good for the workout. Took a 10am class, got a good sweat in. Not only the staff is cool the people there are helpful as well. I'll definitely be coming back when I come down to Orlando again.

The best part to me is, it will not hurt your pockets at all. Like most places will. I'm telling you that u get more than what u pay for.

I've been training at this gym for many years. I love you instructions I like the structure of the class this is a true fight Academy. Mitch and Vinny are great instructors. this is my home I will never leave. I recommend this Academy to everyone that wants to learn how to fight, self-defense, and over all amazing workout.

Unpretentious, professionally run MMA gym. Mike Bell (A local kickboxing and karate legend) is down to earth and very approachable. The BJJ and grappling instructors are also thoroughly professional. I am going to return to working out here even though I moved 15 miles away.
Ive been attending mike class for some time and he is far the best trainer and will outwork you i would give 10 stars if it was possible staff and everyone is down to earth.
