The LA fitness gym is great, but the Smoothie Cafe is an absolute joke. When they are open there is never anyone here. The employees are always either on break or just straight up not here. Unacceptable
I went to this LA Fitness location a month ago to started with my weight loss program. I received a very good treatment with their fitness coaches, they brought me a lot of good insights to consider when doing workouts at the facility and I think someone could benefit from their commitment to customers. Thank you John and Brandy.
One of the best LA fitness in Orlando. Yea sure it can get messy but most gyms are like that? Basketball court is fun, gym has every equipment you need, its perfect.
Biggest issue is that weights are never racked properly and a pain to find. This is an issue during off times AND peak times.
The attached photos were taken during low time, those missing weights are not in use, they are just misplaced around the gym.
The place is clean and there is a good customer service. I recommend you to try Marisol zumba classes, the best ever! I gave just 4 stars because the parking lot is always too busy and if you want to lift some weight, you have to be patient and wait for a while.
Closes too early, especially on weekends. Boxing/classes area isn't lit enough, and the room is stuffy and hot. Needs better HVAC system and filters. The iron is always dirty and the place isn't cleaned thoroughly enough. The water fountains are disgusting, seriously just bring bottled water. Only scale is next to the offices, no scales in the locker room.

Very horrible place. Bathroom so dirty. Extremely dirty. Unprofessional and rude staff. Stay away from this gym.

They have swimming pool, two rooms and a basketball court. Upstairs have treadmills, stairmasters, elliptical and more machines...downstairs there is a personal training area and then weights/more machines.
They have a smoothie place inside.
For the most part the employees are nice. The cleaning could be better....they need sanitizing spray and cleaning rags for machines and the bathrooms and showers need to be cleaned better!!!

Really great gym, lots of machines with multiples of most. It also has a studio for aerobics, a basketball court, and a spin room, along with a pool and jacuzzi, but the jacuzzi is often closed for maintenance, so be prepared for that. Their in-house smoothie bar has really good options.

Good facilities and equipment. It's kept pretty clean. Can get very busy in the early evenings.
Their cancelation policy is a joke. You cancan only do it on the managers schedule (9-5 M-F how convenient) I asked for a day off and the manager had left early for a "family emergency" once you're in good luck trying to cancel.
One of the newer locations I've frequented lately as it's near my job. The staff is nice, especially the cleaning staff (God bless 'em) but I have to deduct 2 stars from this location for the following 2 reasons: (TLDR = Re-rack weights while ur using them, Roaches!!!)
1. The folks that re-rack and clean up the weights are constantly moving weights that I'm currently using. On more than one occasion I've set a pair of dumbells out and turned around to clear and replace weights from my previous exercise, and in less than 10 or 15 seconds they'd grabbed my weights. A few times I'd even caught them mid theft! I'm religious about cleaning up weights after myself and I am pretty annoyed that they don't take at least 30 seconds to survey the floor prior to making a sweep. But this is only a mild annoyance compared to reason #2.
2. They have a Roach problem!!! WTH I heard a guy in the locker room complaining about the roaches 2 days earlier, that he'd 'killed 3 that morning' but as I'd never seen any myself I brushed it off. But this morning I came in, opened a locker and was shocked to find a roach crawling up the inside of the locker! (see the pic) I froze for a bit, then quickly grabbed some paper towel and killed it. But no sooner had I done that, did I see yet another one (looked like a baby) crawling on the floor. This is a DEAL BREAKER!! If this isn't addressed and I mean promptly, I'm discontinuing training at this location. I don't care how conveniently located it is!

A big ZERO on cleanliness.
Bathrooms are always nasty. Trash is always full. Trainers will be passing by looking at trash laying around but never clean up. The men's lockeroom is so loud with music that you 'cannot' have a conversation with someone. It almost gets you annoyed.
I did speak with one of the other location managers who was covering the shift for the location manager and he says the main office controls the volume and even he knows thats too loud in there. He even admitted that yes the restrooms are very unhygenic and are always dirty. He even said L A Fitness is loosing members because there is nothing they care for anymore.
Sad that L A Fitness does not read between the lines. The amount of money they charge is too much and then you go to a place where restrooms are overflowing and trash is always full. So sad.

Staffs are crooks try to scam you in everyway. I referred a friend and oh boy are they after your money. The website was promoting a deal and they said it's not applicable. I've been a la fitness member for 3 years and by far the worst location I've ever been. Bathroom is filthy equipment is a mess. Can't even imagine how they take care of the pool and jacuzzi. I believe corporate need a to get involved with this mess at this location.
I'm totally dissatisfied with the management of the La Kirkan Fitness Unit, its imposition makes anyone out of control. I requested the cancellation of a member and the receptionist said that only the manager could do. When the Manager arrived that did not identify, he said that my request could only be answered from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. I explained that in Boca Raton I made the cancelation at the end of the week. The manager simply said that if I want it would be only the next day because that's how it works. I really do not understand the quality of the service because if I wanted to register a new member I can at any time. I was totally disappointed with the quality of the management's attention.
Be prepared to find cockroaches in the restrooms. The spa is also dirty.

Thanks to you and Gary for trying for come back, God knows how I miss you Orlando Kirkman rd, the worst move I did leave you. So sad and so true. The staff hardly ever help put weights back. Even at 5am the weights are all over the floor and spread throughout the gym. The racked weights are in no particular order, e.g. 85lb dumbbell at a 10 lb dumbbell location. They definitely have staff to do it, but most just talk in the front desk area. It has been this way for 2+ years.
I love this location. The staff is nice and everything is always so clean! I drive out of my way everyday just to go to this location.
Worst Experience at LA Fitness. I recently went to LA Fitness with my fiance and on several occasions I was hit on by a mgr by the name of Ari. He waited for my partner to walk away to come over and make small talk with me i.e., compliment my shoes and then ask me to come see his shoes collections at his home, while clearly knowing and seeing I'm not along. He made me very uncomfortable and disrespected fiance by winking at me while i was standing next to my partner. I don't understand how LA Fitness has someone like him in a leadership position!!!! I am canceling my membership and joining a more reputable club sadly to say after being a member of LA for 5 yrs.
Came here for a week at various times while in town for work.
Pros: clean locker room, lots of floor space, well-maintained equipment, friendly staff, in-house smoothie bar.
Cons: very busy (close to Universal), parking is a bit sparse (again, close to Universal), and the patrons are extremely messy. They leave garbage all over the floor when there are trash cans everywhere. It also seems that none of the patrons know how to pick up after themselves like adults.
The facility and staff are fantastic, but the people that go here (whether visiting or regular patrons) are a massive turn-off for this location.

Nice gym equipment with plenty of different pieces to make for a diverse and complex workout. They have a lap pool and a hot tub, but it's behind a large glass window that shoes to the outside front and entrance for anyone to look over which makes me kind of uncomfortable about using it. Simple lockeroom, but it does have a steam room which I loved to use. The parking in the complex is the worst parking I have ever experienced in a strip mall.
