I should really use my membership a lot more and feel somewhat hypocritical for reviewing a gym but I guess they all have their pros and cons. This is not a bad gym it is very affordable. If you're looking to save a few dollars it is definitely cheaper than LA fitness. But I guess in the end it's all about the results and you have to put forward your own effort in order to get those they can't do it for you
Not open late enough for a place like South beach. Way Way Way too crowded. Thieves/creeps in locker rooms. More of a social hangout than a serious gym to get workouts done efficiently. Super crowded.

I love this gym, I went there for over a year when I was living on Miami Beach. They have a good crowd over there and I got in great shape ! Would highly recommend!

Great equipment, beautiful girls, great atmosphere and lovely views of south beach while you workout. Its pricey but well worth it.

Its just really sad to see this gym let it self go after so many years of me being a member...They eliminated many great spinning classes. The worst for me is that they used to have yoga every night and now its only two times per week at night. As a busy professional, those evening classes are the only ones I can take. Its not the great gym I used to know and love.

There was a deadlift platform which I appreciated. Coustomer service was decent but not great.
I am a member to this gym, it is close to my house but they have the worst customer service ever. All they want to do are to enroll you but after that, they dnt care about the members. You ask them a question and they look at you like they are better than you and give an attitude. You are not better than your customers just because you work here at the gym. This company need customer services training 911 or you will going to lose a lot members. No one want to treat like they are replaceable. There are a lot of gym in south beach, be grateful to your members. We pay to be here. Treat us like you care abt us.
Rude staff the fat girl at the front desk would not let me use the guess pass I downloaded, Because I was not a resident. And wanted to charge me 30$ for a day pass.Bad business maybe that's why the gym was empty.Would you think they would have heard of the pharse referrals or repeat customers .
Great gym and equipment but TOO MUCH WANNA BE MUSCLE DIVAS leaving such a mess of equipment on the floor. NO CLASS. Doesn't anyone study on gym etiquette a anymore?
They need to deal with some minor issues but the gym is pretty complete. Staff is nice. Get the towels issue resolved.
It used to pretty good but then they did their remodel and now they've really let it go. There are to many people at one gym. They never have towels and you have to search everywhere for the equipment you need cause no racks it. A lot of eye candy though and the trainer's are on point.
Good gym, shady business tactics. It's a shame to have to say this because I really like the staff and enjoy working out there. I believe this is more of a corporate problem than anything else. They will reel you in with a good sign up promotion or "discounted" rate, which can be appreciated. But read the fine print because that's probably not how much you'll be paying in 6 months Expect them to increase your monthly rate by AT LEAST $5-10 extra a month within the first year at any point they choose, and probably again your second year. The slap in the face comes when you realize they are offering even cheaper rates and better promotions non-stop after you join, but for sign up members only, that YOU will NOT be eligible for. Consider it "Juniority" for being a loyal member over time. If you decide to cancel when they increase your membership price, you will have to pay another initiation fee and wait 2 or more months before joining again I believe to avoid additional fees. So you really won't be able to take advantage of any current promos, and they will then increase your price again, as before. Crunch recently closed the Alton location so now all of those members have migrated to Washington, so expect it to be a bit busier. They have rightly removed the extra cost for going to both gyms and props for expanding the size of the washington location, however it would be nice if they expanded the hours to match the Alton location as this was a big selling point with my schedule. Other than dodgy marketing and business model, the gym equipment is pretty solid and well maintained, which is appreciated. I will change this review to 5 stars and update this review if they offer to reduce my monthly dues back to promotional or at least current promotional prices as offered in incentive for me to join before I signed the papers. I actually recruited some people to join here when I first started without for any discounts, so I feel that's the least I deserve. I still haven't decided whether to keep paying the higher rate or switch gyms as result. Hopefully the owner takes the time to read honest reviews like this and reaches out in response to this review or offers to work with me on renegotiating a more fair price given the circumstances, as the Alton location and hours were a big positive and selling point for me when I joined and I have been a loyal member for a very long time now. I have a lot of positive things to say about this place as well, but unfortunately cost is the most important factor for most people, including myself.

Nobody there speaks Spanish!!! Be careful because if you are not able to understand correctly the sales guy will scam you with the membership.
Lindsay was very smooth and easy to deal with. The gym is fantastic and has all the equipment one can ever ask for. Highly recommended
Alton Crunch Gym closed on 2/19/18 and in order to cancel my membership, I must go to the Washington gym in person because they won't allow me to cancel over the phone. Additionally, they charged me my annual renewal fee on 2/15/18 knowing the gym was closing and I must see a mgr who is only on site from noon to 5 pm to discuss potentially having it refunded. Notice there is not a customer service phone number anywhere to be found on their website. This is their idea of customer service. Avoid these scammers.
In middle of renovations at time of review. Adding artificial turf area for sleds, TRX and more. Neighborhood, small gym with no frills...or bar clips and new plates. Pros: Place is cleaned constantly by on-site staff, classes are decent, lockers are brand new, it's affordable. Cons: small space, the people are not so friendly and obsessed with their outfit, weight plates have been falling apart for years, dark, zero area to be alone, equipment is dated.
Equipment selection is decent. The cleanliness and organization of the facility leave a lot to be desired.
Fun place. Got the week pass since I'm from out of town. Gym isn't packed and open late. Get ready to develop set conscious issues though, everyone is gorgeous??

Overall the place is pretty clean as they have a cleaning crew constantly keeping the place up and the other members do their part to also keep the place clean.
