I have been a HEW member for almost 5 years. When I first started I couldn't even run the 400 warm-up without stopping a couple of times. After the first week of boot camp, I hurt in places I didn't know existed. I couldn't jump on a box or lift a barbell. After the 5 week boot camp I could run without stopping, jump on the 24 in. box and power clean 45 pounds. The staff is impeccable, the clients are supportive of one another, the young workout with the old (me), and I love every bruise and skinned knee I have earned over the years. The workouts are hard yet fun (if that's possible!) I've increased my stamina to run 2 miles without stopping, dead lift 125 pounds, and climb a rope. I am in the best shape ever and at 59 years old, hiked rim to rim at the Grand Canyon and don't think that would've been possible without my conditioning. I encourage everyone I know to join; it's part of me. The health benefits are amazing. The gym is clean (literally) and spiritually. They support the community and their members and truly want us to succeed. It's a place "where everyone know your name." 3-2-1 GO!!
