In general is a good place to workout and people working there are nice, however is been noticed repetitively the poor clean and unhealthy conditions of the pool, sauna, steem room areas as well the bathrooms and water fountains. The place neeeds a better maintenance, wich it might be the cause of catching harmful bacterias.
They make it really easy to join but is a completely different scenario to cancel your account, the person in charge is never there and they make you jump through hoops online to do so.
Very nice atmosphere, relaxing, and quiet... I enjoyed it very much.
Big gym, not so crowded, messy when it comes to organizing weights especially lighter weights. Also I advise management to enforce leaving the lights on until 11pm, I understand that the staff wants to leave but they turn off the lights 30 minutes in advance and somebody could get hurt and sue the gym. Thanks :)
Not so modern but definitely less crowded that. The usual la fitness. Plus the staff is the best!
The place is very good, they have new and old equipment ... very clean.
The people that work there are very prejudice/racist , from manage to those that clean. My coworker was in the sauna and when she enter it, there were some dumbbells that someone else had left there, when the cleaning lady enter the room to clean it , my coworker kindly removed them out of her way for her, but instead of her being grateful to her, she accused her of being the one that left them in the sauna. Even though she didn't witness her putting them in, she went and got her prejudice/racist manage the at continue with the accusation. My coworker asked the to pulled the camera to see that wasn't the one, but they refused to do so and ask her to leave only because she is black. This is disgusting. I am a member there and I refused to let them racist disgusting self stop me from during what right for my health, but camera is always on and they will be exposed for their nastiness.
They always push you to buy personal training programs. Instead they provide you class training. Is a group no personal. Plus instructor give you the instruction 5 min and disappear for another 30 min. Most of weight machines are not working. A lot of cardio machines are broken. Total disaster.

Free wait selection sucks, because there isn't any.Machines selection sucks half the time broke. You can't use cables because no connections or rings to hook up bars. Place is useless.

The only reason I come here is because it doesn't get too packed and they have good machines. They're very disorganized and the men's bathroom is almost always locked in the back. Some of the staff are nice and some are nasty.

This LA fitness is the closes to my immediate area for the time being. I have been to many gyms around the country as I have lived in many places. I have to say that this gym is the most consistent on having equipment down. They are poorly maintained, weights are all over the place and I think they clean once a day. The staff is very nice, but it barely makes up for what a gym is supposed to be.

No air conditioning at the entire gym, the steem is broken all the time

This LA Fitness location has come a long way, including that it used to be a Bally's Fitness that had an abandoned vibe to it, and well that's kind of where this LA Fitness stands now. I do like that it doesn't get plenty traffic, so no wait for machines and weights is a plus! That is if you can find the set of weights you need or if the desired machine is hopefully not out of order which does seem to frequently occur at this location. You wanna listen to some tunes off your mobile device with the WiFi this site location advertises? Well good luck with that too... the availability of the WiFi is very random and if I had to say... there's about a 50% chance of WiFi available on your visit to LA Fitness in Hialeah! It truly is random! I do like that it's local, very close, and they offer really cheap and affordable rates compared to other locations! Before I end this review I must give a fair warning to visitors of this location. I would recommend to exercise caution around the water fountains near by the restrooms. I have witnessed some nasty gunk build up on these devices and even more surprising that members don't recognize this when they're drinking water from these fountains. Unless you're into catching a cold or infection, be my guest that's a for sure way to go about doing that!
No es un gran gym pero el personal te trata muy bien y encuentras mas facilidad para usar las maquinas no faltan los pinchos a diferencia del gym de la 49 que no hay ni pinchos y se creen de ser Dios ,no saludan ni responden los buenos dias ni a tus preguntas porque faltan los pinchos en especial un tal Alex que deberia ser el manager principal ....
The best LA Fitness in Florida for peace of mind when working out.
Love this gym, doesn't get crowded like 39th street, and it's a more mature demographic. I work out comfortably here, it's my home gym. 4 stars instead of 5 because the steam room is down. Other than that this is my favorite location.
They never fix the steam room it's been shot down for more than half of the year and still waiting look like it will be a whole year and they still haven't fix it needs to change vender I've been a member for 8 years and. Now I'm thinking of leaving please do something about it this is America and it shouldn't take a whole year to fix thank you
This gym is terrible, very disorganized. There are hazzards every where. The staff is unprofessional. The bathroom is disgusting. Compared to other Clubs in this area this place is a dump.
I love this gym. It used to be Bally's years ago. It's an older gym with updated equipment. It's located right off the Palmetto and Okeechobee
This is an old Bally's... It's more old school, & machines r a little older... But I had gr8 workout... I usually visit here on the weekends... Everything's gr8, but it needs a little remodeling, otherwise staff is very nice & friendly...
Pros:
The gym has decent lockerooms, good treadmills and ellipticals for cardio, and decent machines for any of your muscle groups. The gym also has a vendor that makes healthy smoothies. The size of the gym is massive compared to your traditional gym, and the pool and sauna are decent too.
Cons:
The only shortcomings of this gym is that some of the machines are run down and out of date, and that there is a shortage of bars to use for squatting or deadlifting. This gym fills up around 6 pm, and getting a squat rack or bar to deadlift can be annoying past 6 oclock. The dumbells racks are also disheveled, and finding a set of dumbells can be annoying at times.
Overall this gym is good for both serious lifters and people wishing for a casual workout . If the gym updated a bit of its equipment and added a few bars for lifting, the gym would be a 5/5
Such a dirty, smelly gym. Smells horrible from the moment you walk into the door. Everything is super old and rusty. The machines are always dirty. I never see a cleaning crew around, ever. Once saw the same banana peel in one of the treadmills for three days. Disgusting. They should just tear this whole place down.

I normally go to a different La fitness, but recently my place of work changed and I've been going to the La at 1901 w39 St in Hialeah. My experience there has been atrocious, not only are the dumb bells never placed back on the racks (which I am used to from all the other La's in Miami) but impossible to find anywhere in the building. For the past month I have yet to see any dumb bells from weight 15lbs-30lbs. I usually go early in the morning when their aren't that many people there and have walk the entire building looking at all the weights everyone is using and in all corners and crevices that are accessible to me ( including the men's bathroom and pool area), they do not exists! Normally I'm not a complainer but this morning I decided to go for a run on the treadmill and it was the straw that broke the camels back. The first treadmill I hoped on had an issue with when I started running every step I took the treadmill would stop briefly then continue( almost like a stutter), so I moved one over and continued. On this treadmill the shinny metal where you put your hands to get the heart rate was missing. Then, I moved over again and this treadmill appear to be fine at first glance but as soon as I inclined the machine it started a loud clunking sound and when I hit stop button to move over to the next machine the stop button did not work. The stop button is about 1" by 1" and I took my finger and hit every portion of the button and got no response so I left the machine on and moved to the next one over. Finally, I got to a decent machine but was very aggravated from my whole experience.
Bathroom are uncomfortable and dirty. Three toilets for more than 250 members or more.
I honestly believe they should update it or at least remodel it.
I don't think this ever passed the city inspection!!!
There are a lot of gyms available now and they should provide a better place to justify the monthly fees they charge for the services.

This LA Fitness is very convenient for me: Near from my job, plenty of equipment, and best of all, sauna and a nutrition bar!!!
