I started here as a guest in April 2017, first from my mom and then from my friend and both incidences I was a guest going about 20 times in the duration of three months, I was always able to use the massage chair each time being at the Fort Lauderdale location and I had to sign in each time so there's records proving this in the establishment. After three months, I signed up with the Black Card on July. It's bogus and stupid if you ask me because then I started to bring guests at Fort Lauderdale location and at the Margate location, I was able to bring guest with unlimited access to everything including the massage chairs and the beds, with no hesitation and no resistance. Today, I went a different time than usual and the staff were very mean and nasty. So nasty and so rude..... I brought a guest tonight and I haven't been to the gym in about two weeks due to the hurricane. After leg day, we wanted to finish in the massage chairs that weren't even occupied at the time, this supervisor with the purple dreads whatever her name is, told us that ONLY members are allowed to get the massage chair and bed. I asked politely was this a new rule because from the past 6 months I've been going to two locations at that, as a guest and being a member with a guest they were always allowed to use the massage chairs so this rule is new to me even when I signed up this wasn't mentioned because I wouldn't have signed up. Also, on the website it stated that guest privileges are unlimited at any location and she stated that the massage chairs and beds are the expection to that rule which the online website doesn't indicate what she stated and it's just like why after 6 months I'm being told this. After I paid my annual fee and monthly fee, after experiencing no power from a hurricane, after paying all this money why can't my guest get a 5 minute massage from a chair that isn't being occupied after about 10 minutes of wasting my breath I had to encourage the supervisor to allow this but it really sucked at the way she handled herself like she didn't want to give me the coins like I have to beg for the massage chair after I pay for this service. Financially speaking, with the black card it's like paying for two members. So, why should my guest who's my spouse pay for another plan just to get 5 minutes in a massage chair? I will call coropate and ask this same question and why wasn't the supervisor handling it in a way where accommodations are made to ensure the customers always right policy. The supervisor really wanted to argue in 10 minutes about why my husband couldn't get a massage in the massage chair with me. Maybe she was experiencing personal issues that she should have left outside the establishment because she mentioned bringing it up in the staff meeting as if I was an employee there or had the right to attend said meeting. All I know is she could've handled herself better without giving an attitude and she mentioned taking someone's badge maybe it's her badge that someone should take. All I know is if corporate doesn't fix it, I'll go to LA FITNESS, they have a pool and unlimited guest privileges.
