Planet Fitness is pretty consistent wherever I go. You know what to expect. I've visited other chain gyms and overall I think PF is better. Typically more of every machine.

It's an okay gym. Just everything is small and crunched together. Machines are really close to each other. Small locker room too. But it gets the job done. Just wish there was more room. Like a stretching area.

Love this gym. Gym atmosphere is so important to me and this is a gym where you can actually feel comfortable no matter where you are at in your health journey. Everyone is friendly here. It's very clean. Feels very comfortable.

HORRIBLE . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THE MANAGER DALIS IS MEAN , AGGRESSIVE , NOT COMPASSIONATE. FIRST OFF SHE GAVE ME THE WRONG BILL AMOUNT WHICH WAS THE WHOLE ISSUE. I AS A PAYING CUSTOMER JUST WANTED A BREAK DOWN SO I CAN SEE WHERE MY MONEY IS GOING . SHE WAS SO NASTY . SHE SAID "IT IS WHAT IT IS" YOU CAN PAY OR CANCEL ... WOW .. I JUST WANTED TO PAY BUT GET A BREAKDOWN. THEN SHE JUST HUFFED AND WALKED OFF. I SAID THIS IS BULL TOTHE YOUNG GIRL WHO I ALWYAS CHAT WITH , SHE WAS SO CONFUSED, HOW CAN U JUST LEAVE YOUR EMPLOYEE IN THE DARK. Don't even bother. I went to sign up and waited almost an hour and finally just decided to leave. If that's their attitude before you sign up I can't imagine what it's like after. There are plenty of gyms at a similar price that are better.

Edit: After the manager replied to my review I decided top head back in. They helped me out promptly and I went ahead and signed up. So far so good though I wish they had different bikes, more like an indoor cycling bike rather than an exercise bike but alas. Oh it's also a shame there's only 2 shows and 1 changing stall.

Update to a previous review. After my issue signing up I was taken care of. I don't give it 5 stars because there's only 1 dressing stall and 2 showers which you tend to have to wait for. I usually go early in the morning so it's nice and quiet then.

I thought this was supposed to be a place where one could go and not worry about being judged or having to look at others exposing their bodies. Thought it was a safe respectable family location. This gentleman might as well have his shirt off as he kept it pulled up exposing his stomach and chest for most of his work out. One lady who was very disturbed by this reported the occurrence to the front desk. By the time and employee made rounds his shirt was down. Maybe he saw them coming knowing he was in the wrong. I don't know, but when they left the area his shirt went back up exposing himself. There were two ladies there who expressed their distaste to me and said they will probably cancel their membership as this is not the place they thought it was. Personally, I myself, like the gym. The low rating here is a reflection of the topic discussed.

I have a black card, meaning I can go to any planet fitness, but for some reason I had to sign in like a guest here as well as them scanning my card. They needed my name and address and reason of visit. That makes no sense to me. I've been all over the country to different gyms and have never had to do this anywhere else. They only had 2 showers in the women's locker room which were very small, but they only had one changing stall. What are we supposed to do if two people need to shower at the same time, change together and then shower separately?

This is my home gym and I try to head to this location when I work out. It's pretty vast and there's a substantially larger amount of equipment here than other locations nearby. The only complaint is that the men's locker room needs to be cleaned more frequently, especially the showers and they gym isn't open 24/7 it's only open 24/4.

This is the gym I personally use and it's great. It's conveniently right next to a Walmart. So if you need to go in and grab anything or get something to eat at McDonald's that's in the same Shopping Plaza. When you're done you can return back to the gym and get a workout in, a good shower and enjoy the rest of your day

My husband and I were barely using our membership and we had already completed our one year so we decided to cancel. We canceled on the 16th so obviously we knew our accounts would be charged for that month. Sure enough though the following month My husbands account was charged. When we came in the supposedly Manager made him resign the cancellation notice again. Great thing Is we keep All paperwork so when he came home we went right back up there with the original one. She first lied and told us we had to call corporate for refunds and then said "good thing you kept this". "I will give it to My Manager so she can process your refund". She said she would give us a call that same day after everything was done. NOPE, no call! We went back up there the next day and she started the refund was processed. It has been a week now and still the money has Not been returned! We Will never return to PF again for their horrible customer service!!

Great place to go for a quick, efficient workout. Employees are very friendly and always cleaning. Women's locker room is usually spotless and much cleaner than most gyms I have been to. Their equipment is in good shape and well organized. Very happy with my membership.

I go there off and on. Its nice but it's small. During peak times, it's very difficult to get in a serious workout. The location of the gym is great because there's no other gyms around, however because of that the gym gets really overcrowded at times. Waiting for a machine or trying to target a muscle group workout is a nightmare because you have to wait or even share the equipment with someone else. Its clean. The staff is OK. The personal training there is a joke! But overall its more a fitness center. Hopefully we'll get more gyms in the area soon.

I am a black card member from NY. I visited the Fort Lauderdale PF recently for the first time and they made me sign in on a sheet asking for my name, address, date, time, reason for being there, signature.
My contract says as a black card holder I can use any PF and I have had no problems anywhere else.

The locker room is absolutely deplorable! The shower floors are black and grimmy. The locker room room floor us disgusting to walk on as well. The lockers are not clean inside!!!

I've been here three times as a guest and will not go back!

Excellent gym!! I go usually during the middle of the day and it's not usually that busy. There is somebody always cleaning and wiping down the machines. I'm very impressed with the fact that usually all the machines are working with no maintenance issues. Very friendly staff.

I've been a member for a month and go pretty much every day. Staff is attentive, welcoming and friendly. Haven't seen any judgement here. What's more, there is lots of equipment, and the place is really CLEAN! The staff is constantly cleaning. I couldn't have made a better decision. This is worth driving 30 minutes or more to get to. I know I made a great decision. Great place and great price. Ever read the Google reviews for LA Fitness locations? Enough said!

I won't get into detail of my encounter with Leshayne, the "manager", who is blatantly rude, disrespectful, and has no sense of customer service. But I've filed a complaint against her through corporate, and BBB, and they are now investigating this case. I would not recommend this location.

I started here as a guest in April 2017, first from my mom and then from my friend and both incidences I was a guest going about 20 times in the duration of three months, I was always able to use the massage chair each time being at the Fort Lauderdale location and I had to sign in each time so there's records proving this in the establishment. After three months, I signed up with the Black Card on July. It's bogus and stupid if you ask me because then I started to bring guests at Fort Lauderdale location and at the Margate location, I was able to bring guest with unlimited access to everything including the massage chairs and the beds, with no hesitation and no resistance. Today, I went a different time than usual and the staff were very mean and nasty. So nasty and so rude..... I brought a guest tonight and I haven't been to the gym in about two weeks due to the hurricane. After leg day, we wanted to finish in the massage chairs that weren't even occupied at the time, this supervisor with the purple dreads whatever her name is, told us that ONLY members are allowed to get the massage chair and bed. I asked politely was this a new rule because from the past 6 months I've been going to two locations at that, as a guest and being a member with a guest they were always allowed to use the massage chairs so this rule is new to me even when I signed up this wasn't mentioned because I wouldn't have signed up. Also, on the website it stated that guest privileges are unlimited at any location and she stated that the massage chairs and beds are the expection to that rule which the online website doesn't indicate what she stated and it's just like why after 6 months I'm being told this. After I paid my annual fee and monthly fee, after experiencing no power from a hurricane, after paying all this money why can't my guest get a 5 minute massage from a chair that isn't being occupied after about 10 minutes of wasting my breath I had to encourage the supervisor to allow this but it really sucked at the way she handled herself like she didn't want to give me the coins like I have to beg for the massage chair after I pay for this service. Financially speaking, with the black card it's like paying for two members. So, why should my guest who's my spouse pay for another plan just to get 5 minutes in a massage chair? I will call coropate and ask this same question and why wasn't the supervisor handling it in a way where accommodations are made to ensure the customers always right policy. The supervisor really wanted to argue in 10 minutes about why my husband couldn't get a massage in the massage chair with me. Maybe she was experiencing personal issues that she should have left outside the establishment because she mentioned bringing it up in the staff meeting as if I was an employee there or had the right to attend said meeting. All I know is she could've handled herself better without giving an attitude and she mentioned taking someone's badge maybe it's her badge that someone should take. All I know is if corporate doesn't fix it, I'll go to LA FITNESS, they have a pool and unlimited guest privileges.

This gym has a lot of POTENTIAL, but if you want to constantly have to look over your shoulder to make sure the girls at the front desk arent talking about how fat you are, then this is the gym for you. "Judgement Free Zone", My Ass! Who ever is in charge of this place, make sure your staff at the front desk WHISPERS a little lower, because I sure as hell heard every nasty comment being made! Just upsetting to think I paid for something like this!!! Thumbs down!
