The doula services offered at the Orchid Nest are fantastic! My husband and I learned so much from the meet the doula event and enjoyed meeting so many passionate, qualified professionals. We had a hard time deciding because we loved so many of the doulas we met but ultimately worked with Julie and had Charlene as our backup doula. Julie and Charlene were absolutely AMAZING throughout my pregnancy journey, and Julie helped me have the unmedicated, quick hospital birth that I had hoped for. She offered incredibly guidance when I first started having contractions at home and then coached me through various positions and breathing methods for labor and pushing at the hospital. Julie also gave my husband peace of mind by being a confident support advocate in the room and someone he could turn to to better understand what was happening. I cannot imagine navigating my first childbirth experience without Julie and believe her support and confidence in me and my body truly allowed me to feel comfortable having a healthy, unmedicated hospital birth. After we had our daughter, my husband and I both said that choosing to hire a doula was the best decision we ever made, and we are deeply grateful for Julie!!
Additionally, I did several of the prenatal yoga classes at the Orchid Nest and highly recommend them!!

The Orchid Nest provided an amazing support for me and my husband. I knew nothing about pregnancy or birth, and their classes provided such a great comfort (I took comfort measures for labor and the hypnobirthing series). The education gave me confidence and helped me accept what was coming. I opted for a doula after my second hospital stay for early labor when I had to heavily argue with nurses to ask for consent before they did things. Although all of the doulas I spoke with there were awesome, I opted to go with Julie (she was one of the first ones I met there). She was amazing through the rest of my pregnancy and was there for me through labor. She highly contributed to helping me feel empowered in a situation where I thought I had no control and encouraged, comforted, and guided me (and my husband) based upon what we wanted. I cannot recommend the Orchid Nest enough! Oh and one more thing- their massage services are amazing too-so worth it when you are so uncomfortable!

What an incredible experience it was to work with the orchids nest and their doulas. We had Samara and Amber. As a first time father, I would highly recommend this service to anyone as I had no idea how important it was to help guide us. I had no idea how crucial and how much better my experience would be with them there! Couldn't imagine it without them and their whole staff as a great support with classes as well! Thank you orchid's nest!

I hired Jennifer Andrews to be my postpartum Doula after the birth of my baby boy. Her calm and peaceful nature was a blessing during the hectic first weeks of first time parent hood. She helped get the baby to bed, helped with dishes and laundry, and much needed nursing support ( I was very stressed about nursing). One of the best things about having a night time Doula is that it allowed my husband and me to catch up on our sleep. I recommend Jenn, 100%!!!
