Best Gym in the area..A real gym with great management and pricing

I love this gym. They have the best equipment. The owner is a former pro bodybuilder. Only 25 a month or 5 bucks for a day if you just want to try it out. I am a member since I moved here in 2015. I made many friends here and meet some cool travelers here from all over this country and even many from abroad. Love it !!!

My wife and I visit from NYC every year. Our usual gym in Daytona has closed down, so we were fortunate to find this place. It's got fantastic equipment for serious weightlifting. People just come and do their work. They actually put away their weights, which is a common pet peeve of mine with free weights. And Gary was nothing but generous and welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. Highly recommend this place for weightlifters visiting Daytona.

Been working out here on and off since I was 18. Damn good place to workout if you want to get in shape. I tried working out at Gold's gym because I lived down the street from it but it wasn't the same, full of a bunch of fake body builders and felt like going out to the club. People sat on machines not using them and ppl was playing Pokemon Go in there. I worked out there for 2 months then left and came back to my roots, Total Nutrition. I enjoy working out here and don't care who doesn't, team Gary.

I was a member of this gym for about 3 days before I had an altercation with another member wherein I was waiting for him to be finished lifting and he decided he would threaten me and call me many names. I told him off and told him to leave me alone then the owner of the gym approached us and told us to fight in the alley behind the gym, I declined and said I would defend my self in the event that I was assaulted the gym member continued to disparage me and I did the same in response and the owner told me that he would drop me as a member if I didn't fight this man in an alley. I am disabled and the owner of this gym tried to get me to fight a man in an alley over waiting for a piece of equipment. I left a review on facebook detailing this in which I was rather insulting because I was angry and the owner screenshot my profile photo and shared it on his business page wherein he encouraged others to disparage me for being disabled and made many libelous claims about me allegedly physically assaulting my girlfriend, with there being no evidence to support any such claim. I called the police over this and the threats from the member and they referred to the owner as a "Bad Cop". I went in the next day to get my money back and the maintenance man who is a disgusting hillbilly, insulted my girlfriend and myself and attempted to start yet another physical fight with me which I recorded and I could still put on youtube if the owner would like me to. I was not refunded the entire amount I had paid so I filed a better business claim the owner responded saying he would fulfill the money he owed and never did.

In short the owner of this gym tried to force myself (a mentally disabled man) to fight another member over a piece of equipment then used his business page to disparage me for being disabled and make libelous statements about myself (which I still have screenshots of) when I wrote a review.

In response to the owners response:

The owner never tried to calm the situation, he in fact tried to get me to fight the other member in an alley. He was never in any way "verbally assaulted" unless stating "really man? you want me to fight this guy in an alley" is what he was referring to. The owner's line that I pointed out that I had a disability, would lend credence to what I have written, why was this included in his response? It lends nothing to his narrative, it serves only to further disparage me. He also never refunded me personally and I left the gym, and when I did so I was banned I was not banned for anything other than already leaving so it was the old you can't quit you are fired. I had to call the police myself numerous times, over what occurred. The owner never "had law enforcement contact me" in fact quite the opposite occurred and I retain the police reports from it.

I would like to draw special attention to the line in the owner's response that he discovered I had attacked many business's and had moved, why was the owner watching where and what I was doing? what reason would he have to do that? Does that sound like the conduct (no matter what he alleges I did) of a sane man? He later found out that I as a mentally disabled person had moved, do you know how scary that is? to think that this mentally unhinged steroid junky was stalking me? Gary if you are reading this if you write one more libelous thing about me, or in any way disparage me for being disabled I will contact the ADA and a Lawyer.

In regards to the gym it is dirty, the air is never on it feels like the 8th circle of hell, the members are all roid junkies so if you need roids by all means this is the place for you, the music is the worst assault on your ears you will ever hear in your life it is the kind of music that angsty 12 year olds listen to and it is on full blast all the time.
