Cool place with all necessary equipment to keep the body maintenance on, but some of them customer service team members really need to be RETRAINING ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!! Hanging out a call without a proper ending is not polite and professional at all!!! Think about it next time! customers deserve respect!!!.
My husband and I go to Silver Sneakers class at LA Fitness in Cape Coral. We like going. The instructor is very good.
Nice has 5-6 Raquetball-handball-squash courts with A/C & an indoor heated pool.

This gym has everything I need from a basketball court to the sauna and great workout equipment and the staff there are courteous.
Used to he a 4 star rating. But, i dont know what is going on with the A/C at this place.... but its ridiculously humid in this place. Hands slip off machines. Might have to look at a different location for a home gym. Its been 3 months now. Finally so annoying had to edit my review.

I have written a detailed description of this gym. However I'm not able to see it. I talked about the roach and the bacteria in the spa that can cause rashes from the contaminated water that is not cleaned appropriately. Very dirty. The spa is filled with foam bubbles. Corporate does not care because changes aren't made. Very bad!

I have been trying to cancel since the beginning of Dec. I keep getting charged. I emailed and called and left messages several times with manager and no call, no email. I finally got an email from corporate but they are still charging me!!! Ridiculous. I signed up for month to month but never had a chance to use it do to my schedule. I even emailed my cancellation letter to corporate but it's impossible getting a response. So wrong! Don't join if you don't want the deal with the same issues.
Once you join it is impossible to cancel your membership. They will keep deducting money from your account after you cancelled your membership. You can only cancel by mailing a letter to a post box in California and they seem to never receive the mail. Their only answer is "We never received your request to cancel".
Their business model is to get people to join for a low fee and then it's UPSELL AFTER UPSELL. Not a nice experience at all. My recommendation is "Stay Away!"
Cancelled the subscription and they continued to deduct the money from my bank account. Called them and was told I had to come in and discuss it with the operations manager.
This is a complete ripoff. They tried to upsell you from the time you join. Stay away.
From out of town and stopped in to work out for two days. The staff was unfriendly and not very accomodating Gym wasnt too busy which was nice. However, the workout area, locker room and sauna were very unclean. There was an empty bag of doritos on the floor with ants crawling around. Moreover, the sauna had paper towel crumpled up on the floor in two spots and misc. Caps etc on the floor. Will do the job for a day or two, but not regularly
was a member a few years ago and didn't like it but couldn't remember why. After a week of trying to reach Leo for a price, and hearing the familiar attitudes and sarcasm of the staff helped me to remember why. Its all about the quantity not the quality with them, and reminds me of the old Golds Gym where people are being mocked at for their insufficiencies by others.
Not sure why there's so many negative reviews. Everytime I come here it's always super clean and not only that, but it's the best gym you'll find around here. They have a wide variety of machines and other equipment that I've not seen at other places. Plus it's awesome they offer a huge pool and jacuzzi for customers to use.
I just can't wait to move and go to another better run L A Fitness. The Spa is one of the WORST that I have used. Temperature too hot, 1/2 of the jets very weak with only one strong. Black MOLD on part of rim. chemicals out of balance and spa has been out of service at least 6 times in the last 2 months. What manager ???
New machines and overall cleanliness good. Water quality of pool also in question.

The pool is always packed, so if you want to do laps, good luck. There are always classes and things going on so you must go super early. I question the chemicals in the pool. But I used to test pools for a living and know that most of them are always off.
The bathrooms are ok. The gym has a dark, dirty feel to it, although I can't say I have actually seen dirt. The building is older than the other LA Fitness buildings so it just looks run down.
Worked out great for me first few months then come to find out some trainers were actually criticizing me just cancelled my membership the gym is made to motivate you not have others that work there bring you down.
Peter and Michelle are the two best Personal Trainers in this establishment. I recommend them both if you are looking for a good trainer.
