Good gym, good hours. There will be high school bros everywhere, but it's pretty manageable here. Lots of equipment in good condition, so rarely a wait when waiting for weights.
Services and experiences are fantastic, but billing management is especially poor. They will take unauthorized funds either through ignorance or purposeful malignance. I have sent written messages twice to cancel my membership (which is the necessary method according to staff members and online policies) and have received no response. More importantly, they continue to charge my credit card long after the request have been sent.
I love the group ex classes! The instructors are always prepared, on time, and great at motivating me to work hard. The class times are perfect for my schedule.
There is a family atmosphere that welcomes ALL. Plenty of classes to include all ppl of various exercise experience. The instructors are experienced and helpful. Coming this week is ALL new equipment!!!!

Reception area is extremely cordial and upbeat when greeting customers. Feels good to be able to introduce and rear your children in an environment that not only supports family values but does so thru a wide range of services promoting fitness. There's something for everyone @ the YMCA!

Good value for money and good infrastructure. You get a lot of options in one place including swimming pool, ping pong, squash, racquetball, gym (well maintained and a huge variety of machines), steam, sauna etc.

Great place for maintaining health, plenty to do and very open.
The central branch Y is a awesome place .
The Y has allowed me to meet new friends.
The energy the instructors bring whether morning or afternoon is amazing !!!!

I participate in aquatics classes to manage chronic pain, while a large variety of fitness options and programs are available for every age. The facility is old... Perhaps different lighting or paint may brighten the hall. Nonetheless, 'central' is in the center of an urban business district, and the population is very diverse in every way. I like it!

Well laid out gym with room for lots of cardio equipment and a full weight lifting area. Also has nice racquetball courts. Parking behind the gym in dedicated lot.

For the third time in a month the fire alarm went off and everybody in the building had to leave and stand outside in the freezing cold. Each and every thing it is a false alarm and it completely ends everyone's enthusiasm to continue working out. I realize that every fire alarm needs to be treated as though it may be real but why does this happen so much? If this happens again I quit!
A great gym. Never overcrowded and there's plenty of weights and machines for all your workout needs. I truly enjoy working out here.
I come here every morning at ~ 6am to workout. The gym is excellent and they're currently renovating the showers, which is great. Only issue might be is that the parking lot is kind of small so you may not find free parking depending on what time you drive here.
Friendly staff, great fitness classes including yoga, a child care center, & housing for men who might otherwise be homeless
My gym for 2+ years. Always clean. Staff always friendly. Equipment always working. Well trained staff.
Solid facilities. Sizable weight room: One squat rack, one power rack and one Smith rack. Three benches. One (two?) leg presses. The usual machines.
Okay number of aerobic machines but easy to fill up during the lunch rush. Way fewer than the (much) cheaper Planet Fitness on the Riverfront.
Convenient location in downtown Wilmington. Every other gym is far from here (at least 15 minutes for an Anytime Fitness), so those that don't have cars might find this useful. Parking is free, but small.
Unfortunately, it costs WAY too much for what they're offering. At this time of writing, they're asking for $80/month. LA Fitness (30 minutes away) offers the same services and newer equipment for $32/month for a nationwide pass...
