My.old gym closed without notice. It sold the remainder of my fully-paid membership to Planet Fitness. Norm's was so much better that I forfeited the remainder of the prepaid membership and paid for a full year at Norm's.

Pretty pissed off that 'please cancel my account' falls on deaf ears - for months and months - I'm considering a class-action suit on behalf of my kid -I'm sure others are being scammed like this for repeated cancellation requests that are ignored long after the contract ends.
I love Norm's gym it's like being with family there's a lot of love there it's comfortable being there. I left Planet Fitness cuz they claim to be the judgement-free Zone boy that's a lie. You can't wear cut-off so you can't talk on your cell phone.
I moved to waterbury from Danbury and was a regular st New York Sports Clubs. It had a healthy environment which I liked better than PF. This gym, norms, has the same environment that I love. It's a gym where you can really work out in and focus entirely on your fitness goals.

Luis Rodriguez is a trainer who works and works out of this gym. He represents himself as a personal trainer and owner of L.I.F.T LLC. neither is reputable. He is unprofessional and irresponsible. I paid in full for my training sessions; he refused to fulfill the agreement then gave me the run around after he told me he would give me my money back. DO NOT give this man money. He is unprofessional and does not know how to handle his business. I am in the process of taking him to small claims now. Take heed. Work with someone else at this gym. This guy is no good to do business with.

This gym is the real deal, no gimmicks and you can sign up month to month no obligation
Needs to be remodeled. Smells! Find another gym.

Signed up for Norms because I liked the setup. I changed positions at work, and no longer had the time to make it there. I called to cancel, and the guy who answered made it sounded like I just asked a friend to help me move on a Sunday morning. He told me I would have to pay an early termination fee for ending early....no problem I understand that. A few weeks go by, and I see another monthly charge on my account for $15.98. I call and get another guy who made it seem like it was the end of the world to help me out. He informs me I would have to pay $50 for the early termination, and refused to refund the $15.98 monthly charge that should not have been taken out in the first place. $66 to cancel due to lazy employees. Thanks
