Amazing I love the atmosphere here
My trainer is awesome I definitely feel the burn baby lol If your looking for a great gym with a pool and spa hot tub then La Fitness is the place to be they have great classes
Jose was fantastic! I was on business travel and Jose helped me get my workouts in while I was away from home. The facility has everything you could ask for and more! The equipment is basically new across the whole facility and the place is clean as a whistle.
Best thing about this LA Fitness is its general manager, Mr. Nieves (never met him before this experience). We are not members of this location but I have been to hundreds of gyms and I can say without reservation that this general manager is one of the very best, excellent! He greeted us warmly as soon as we entered. I dreaded the hard sales pitch so often associated with fitness gyms. Instead Mr Nieves made our experience so smooth, painless and positive, we will look for a location near us. I hope LA Fitness Northeast regional manager reads these reviews and realizes what a consummate professional she/he has in Mr Nieves. The facility was clean, all equipment was new and very well maintained. We recommend it highly!
This gym is a fraud. I am so frustrated with LA Fitness. 3 months ago, I cancelled my single membership and upgraded to the family membership but now I am being charged for both monthly memberships. I have to call down there monthly to have the charges reverted, and it takes them like 3 weeks to refund the non authorized charges. The morning manager is no help at all. When you call they place you on hold for an extended wait time. Now I have to take time out of my busy day to go down there to try to straighten this out, again!!! In the past, my husband had the same issue with LA Fitness, they kept charging him after he cancelled his membership. He had to close his checking account in order to get them to stop putting charges through. Please save yourself the aggravation and trouble and find another gym.

LA fitness Stratford is great. Very nice and welcoming staff. Jose & Jerry were great. Facilities are spacious, well-equipped, no crowds. No complaints!

I find the staff and the other members very friendly. My only issue and for me its a big one, is that the club is absolutely filthy and is beginning to get run down. Especially the mens locker room, having never been in the ladies locker room. I joined primarily for the use of the pool. Currently the pool appears clear and clean. However overall its a bit cloudy at times and occasionally there is hair or thread floating in the water, and judging how the rest of the club is maintained/cleaned I'm going to err on the side of caution and cancel my membership. Other members have also mentioned the lack of cleanliness as well.

It's a nice place to work out. The staff are friendly, and the monthly fee is reasonable. Everyone is helpful and happy to answer any questions on how to use the equipment, and nutrition advice, etc. It's not crowded which is a plus so you're able to work out at your own pace, and it's a non-judgemental environment

Nice staff, very clean locker room and gym floor, as well as up to date equipment. Love their regular cleaning gal who does a phenomenal job. Jose, the marketing manager, is terrific who cares about our local community enough to contribute to our elementary school kids after school running program!

Hey my amazing friend Shelly Heery teaches Zumba at this awesome club on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and she is a great instructor!!!! She has amazing energy, always smiles and will definitely make you sweat!!!! So if you want a great workout with an amazing instructor you should definitely come!!!
Really nice gym, but they need to put the AC on. It's way too hot for working out.
LA Fitness really roped me in! Kicking and screaming all the way and I went and signed that contract. Now, I went and upgraded that contract after 8 weeks because my trainer, Charles B. is that good! Jerry, the fitness Director is that good!
Despite the money, (come on, who wants to pay for anything), and despite the day after 'pain', it has been so worth it!!! I am so worth it!!! The gym is a gym, but it was the personal trainers that did it for me! To do it right, I needed the personal training to see the best results for this hard work! This trainer has taught me lifelong changes and a new attitude. I GET IT NOW!
I would NOT be this committed to going to the gym 3-4 days a week without the personal training for sure. I hear that voice in my head all day long! Charles B, you are forever on my Christmas list!!
To date, it's 19.4 pounds lighter, with much better daily habits and I am standing "chest out tall"!!!
Have a long way to go, and only after 8 weeks I can see the physical changes and improvements. I have never wanted to go to a gym, I want to go to a gym now. Wow, at age 58, that's crazy!
LA Fitness, both Stratford and Trumbull , thank you for all the advise on my off training days!!! Always there to guide us! Also, much kudos to the Aqua Fitness and Zumba classes! LOVE THEM!
I have been around for more years than I like to acknowledge and have always belonged to gym.
This LA Fitness is a really good one.
It is always clean except for the patrons who are sometimes slobs which is typical.
It is a friendly place and is usually not too crowded.
Parking is easy and located close to lots of other business.
My membership is reasonable for a no-ftills gym.
I will keep my membership.
The staff are wonderful. Everyone I've met and worked with has gone above and beyond to help make my experience exceptional. I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area. None of the other gyms have the resources close to what LA Fitness provides. Thank you!

Place is a mess. Nobody puts weights away. Plates and dumbbells everywhere but in there place. Water fountains are warm water at best. Place is turning into a dump. Go somewhere else
My sister signed up in January- it was such a great deal to add someone to her membership, that we added my dad as well. Jose, the store manager was friendly and spent a lot of time with us. They had been wanting to commit to a regular work-out program, so they both signed up with Marshall, one of the Trainers- who has been awesome! The gym is CLEAN- and someone is constantly wiping down the equipment (not relying on members). A bonus is the sauna and the pool- plus the classes (all included). I have been able to go with the free passes included when one signs up- , and I too love it! We looked at several gyms and are so happy that we decided on this one. One of the gyms wanted our driver licenses just so that they could give us a tour. I felt very uncomfortable with this, especially in this time of identity theft- plus one gets charged an "annual maintenance fee" for "equipment repairs: It is an adult gym- not a loud "nightclub" like atmosphere. All of their equipment is up to date and in working order (some gyms might be a little cheaper, but half their equipment is broken). Comparatively though, LA is in line with their monthly cost and EVERYTHING is included (except the trainers). My sister is moving to grad school, and since LA FITNESS is a national company, her membership will travel with her. Our family has been so pleased with LA FITNESS in Stratford, that I too plan to join. Jose and his team are always available to assist them in any way. They feel like family!
The real benefit is that because it has been such a great experience, my family has stuck with their fitness program, which has really contributed to their overall health and wellness.

This is probably the best location I've been to. Spacious, not too crowded, an alert and friendly staff, excellent trainers. It's a 3 Lane pool so not as big but it's clean and so is the jacuzzi. The equipment is new and up to date unlike Orange or hamden locations. Parking is also super easy in Stratford. Consider making this LA your home!!

Love how it's quiet. Always clean. As a girl love, how no one bothers me while I'm in my zone. Parking friendly. Real chill gym. Nice and spacious.
