Carlos is a personal trainer who is following his dream and by joining this gym, you're not only supporting local, you're supporting a family. He is constantly growing the gym and has done an incredible amount of work to ensure that everyone has the equipment they need to reach their goals. They also offer a fair personal training package that I highly suggest. If you are sick of the chains, then this is a great gym for you.

I've been acquainted with Carlos Cay since he was an employee at Edge Fitness. From the first time I met him, I knew he'd make an excellent gym owner. My experience at Silver City Barbell is nothing short of amazing. When it first opened, I walked in with my mind already made up that I would join but he offered me 5-day trial to make sure I really did want to join before he charged me.
Since joining, I've been more than pleased. My workout times are much shorter than at Edge Fitness, the old school bodybuilding atmosphere makes me feel like I'm at Powerhouse Gym in New Haven without having to drive there, and Carlos really makes every one of his members feel welcomed. I look forward to this establishment growing far beyond what he's already accomplished.

Best Gym in the area and veteran owned! Staff is super friendly, knowledgable, and always there to help you out if you need advice. The owner Carlos has already taken many steps in making this gym better than ever by repainting the whole place, fixing broken equipment, and adding all kinds of equipment for different styles of lifting and fitness. Highly recommend you at least come out and give it a try!
