We went to New Era Ninjas for the first time last night for adult drop-in class and had an incredibly fun time. First thing was warm up, which we were told would be the most difficult part (I agree it was).
Drew called up all the newbies in a group to introduce himself and have us tell him our names. The newbies were put us in groups of around six, each with a coach who guided us through different obstacles. Our coach was Mike who was so nice, patient, and encouraging as we stumbled, tripped, and fought our way through obstacles like the warped wall, steps, and swinging rings.
Drew was working throughout the gym and would watch people and give us tips on how to improve and cheer us on. A really nice, down-to-earth guy.
Everyone in the gym (coaches and regulars) was supportive and despite my feeling intimidated initially, I felt comfortable to be there and try all the obstacles we visited.
It was fairly crowded last night (though we weren't tripping over each other at all) and I think they will be setting the max of participants around 35.
We are from the west coast and just visiting, otherwise we would absolutely get a regular membership to work out here. We actually drove an hour and a half from MA (and back) last night just to go to New Era Ninjas and it was absolutely worth it.
