Scott at Synergy is a great teacher and passionate about what he does. He is always willing to meet his students at their level of expertise. He's flexible and listens well. He always tries to keep things different and fun. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learn self-defense and improving fitness with his HIIT.
Perfect place to learn real-world self-defense tactics and techniques (TacTecs!) and to have the greatest time making myself stronger and more fit through the high intensity training. My daughter started a few years ago, my wife followed a short time later, and I finally had the opportunity to jump in and find out what all the fun was about. Scott's love for teaching and depth of knowledge are seen in every session. He has enlisted a great team of fellow instructors who each bring personal experience and skill. I highly recommend Synergy Martial Arts & Fitness!!
Even though school is suspended, the lessons learned are not. My granddaughter tripped and fell face first. She broke her fall uninjured. The first thing she said was "good thing I take karate so I know how to fall!" lol. Looking forward to returning.
I started taking lessons when I was fairly young and eventually earned my purple belt here. While I did eventually stop due to school demands, as a kid I loved coming here once a week and getting all that extra energy out while feeling productive and like I could defend myself. As someone who was picked on, it felt really good to learn and acknowledge that while I should use my words, if a bigger kid threw a punch, I could block it. Scott specifically an awesome instructor who is encouraging and patient, with everyone from small kids, to adults just learning, to those who have been around the block a few times. I would recommend this dojo and it's classes to literally anyone looking to get into martial arts, or even just for a good weekly workout that feels good afterwards (even if you're a little sore after from getting too excited haha).
I started taking classes with Scott after working for an aggressive and abusive boss. Scott helped me immediately gain back some of my confidence and ultimately, all of my confidence and my power. He does an amazing job tailoring instruction to his students' needs and goals, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Mr. Pederson was my teacher from white to blue belt, and I would recommend him for anybody. He did a great job of driving me when I slacked and recognizing where I needed extra tutoring.
I must say this training center amazing and truly traditional! The training is wonderful and is done in the traditional way. Good going since my joining!

Synergy is THE place to go for martial arts and self-defense training for people of all ages. The staff is not only highly talented as martial artists, but top notch as instructors. It is a very unique position to possess both high level martial art talent AND the ability to convey that talent as an instructor. This is WHY my experience at Synergy has been sky high awesome. Scott and Rick are hands down the best in the martial arts teaching business!

I've trained at synergy for 5 yrs now. Scott's way of teaching is easy to understand and fun.
Scott and Rick are great! My first introduction was a self defense class with Scott, which was really helpful. Since, I've attended the HIIT classes with Rick & the class is tough, but the people & atmosphere are super supportive. I appreciate that the instructors are super knowledgeable about form, technique, & have studied this stuff, so it's an educational experience if you make it. If you're on the fence, give Synergy a try - you won't be disappointed.
This school is awesome. Just what I was looking for for my 8 year old son. He loves the classes and the instructor.
While other martial arts training places are over-priced and require you make a commitment, Synergy Martial Arts has three easy payment levels that are paid monthly. No committment.
My son attends two classes per week. After class, when I ask him " did you have fun", his response is, "dad, you never have to ask me that, I always have fun"!
That's exactly what a parent wants to hear!
