I visited the gym because they advertised a free 3 week membership( I believe it was three weeks, but cant recall because I suffered a TBI and my memory is fuzzy). When I went for my consultation, I was late, but they still saw me. They gym itself is clean, and the atmosphere was mellow. The owner, I think his name is Travis, is a bit intimidating and very inviting. Anyways, talked with a sales consultant, and he dropped the catch. They ask for a $600 dollar deposit, and they say it is refunded if you complete the "free" course. I decided not to commit right away because I wanted to do my research. I found a few friends who went through with the 600.00 dollar "free" course. At the end, they were told of another catch...you had to stay within a certain time frame to complete the course. If it happens to take a day over, they keep your 600 bucks. I decided to not go through with it, and PT myself. I was turned off to the false advertisement, as it is highly deceiving and in my opinion, just a marketing scheme to get you down to the gym.
