I was really worried about taking a CF class, let alone joining! I didn't think I could do it or worse, that I would hurt myself! Or that it would be full of those scary weightlifting guys making all those grunting noises like other gyms! My husband had been going for months and I could see definitive results on him which intrigued me. He gave me a 10 punch/pack for my birthday and after the FIRST class I was hooked. I LOVE this box! Every workout is different. The instructors are sticklers for form and safety and I always get an amazing workout. There are SO many amazing and strong women that attend classes (and coach classes!), which was also inspiring!
I was a gym rat and roadie - I would do weights, cardio, swim or spin classes and or ride my road bike. But I was not achieving the same results I once did and bored as well as unmotivated. This is SO much better and takes you to a whole new level of fitness. It pushes you to do your best. It motivates you to get stronger. It's a positive environment where even your smallest achievements are recognized. I WANT to go to the gym every S-I-N-G-L-E day. At the end of some of these workouts, I'm amazed at myself that I FINISHED. I love that I'm sore after almost every workout and sometimes for DAYS after!
I patiently hit "refresh" on my computer to discover the next day's WOD.
Speaking of computers - I sit on my tush every day for 8+ hrs a day which has destroyed my back and core. Coming here has HELPED my back pain. I didn't think it was possible that deadlifts could help a bulging disc but it is definitely strengthening my core and back where I no longer have pain every day. THAT alone is worth every penny I spend here!
I have taken classes with Michelle, Justin and Sarah and ALL are fantastic coaches!! I am a beginner and Sarah always watches out for me and makes recommendations on weights, form, corrects me if I'm doing something wrong and patiently doesn't give up on my clumsy giraffe like attempts. :) I really appreciate that about this place. You can work at your pace, and they don't recommend you increase weight if they don't think you're ready (if your form is not right - forgetta about it!)
They have 7 or more classes a day to fit your busy schedule - including a beginner class most days; different pricing structures for your pocket book; state of the art equipment and coaches, as well as truly inspirational attitudes.
This place is not for everybody. If you want to get in shape, workout HARD, push yourself to limits you didn't know you had in you - this place is for you. If you like the regular pace of gyms, spin classes, zumba, central heat/air - this may not be the place for you. OR - mix it up and use both! I would highly recommend checking them out!! They are AMAZING!
