Super clean club! The new ownership has really turned this club around. They keep making upgrades and making this a really nice, friendly place to get a workout. Every time I come in there DD gives me a huge smile welcoming me it

Terribly gym ethics. Owner Greg Osbourn has cycled me for another annual subscription without my knowledge. When I called to ask if this could be corrected, he gave me some speech about how he is legally allowed to take money because it wasn't cancelled, and now I'm reading many reviews where people are having a really difficult time getting their accounts cancelled. I haven't been to any Tru Fit in over 6 months... This mans ethics are criminal and I do not recommend doing any business with him or his company.

I've been going to gym's for the better part of 20 years and this is one of the best gym's I've been to. If I could give you another 5 stars I would. The value you give for the price you have, not for here but I can go to any of your gyms is by far the best in the country if you don't want a meat market of a 24 gym. From the minute you pull into the FREE parking garage, (Right......... Free Parking in Cherry Creek North??? Unheard of) yes the free parking garage you get a sense of being clean and organized. To the front desk personnel that is always so friendly and ready to assist even at 5am or 8pm, it doesn't matter they're always on point. Restrooms and Locker rooms are always kept nice and clean and you always see gym staff roaming around cleaning and picking up after people. To the private training rooms, (again included in my membership.........crazy cool) To the gym itself. So well thought out, the layout, the machines, the free weights, all of it was done to make mine and everyone else's experience great. The trainers are always walking around just trying to help people even if they're not training which is nice when you don't want to look foolish using a machine your not use to. Its never busy but always busy if that makes sense so you know people love the gym. To the ownership, the management, the trainers, the front desk, customer service, and the clean up crew and anyone else whom works at the gym, thank you for making my experience one that has yet to be met at any gym in 20 years. This should be a training ground for gyms across the country for "getting it"

Opened in 2017, so everything is fresh and new. Lots of natural light in main resistance and cardio training area. Locker rooms are clean and well lit and towels are provided, though you have to request them at the front desk. Clean shower stalls with gel shampoo/soap and conditioner. I'd love it if there were more water pressure. Nice sauna, but no jacuzzi. Lots of group exercise offerings though many are during 8-5 business hours.

Friendly staff. Nice, clean, ventilated facility. Up to date equipment. Decent amount of group fitness classes.

Best Gym I've ever been to. Facilities are great - personal trainers are helpful - even if they're not training you. Angela is the best of the bunch. It's a bit of a drive for me to get there but it's worth it.

The gym is large and modern. It is also a good value compared to nearby gyms. They do only have one rowing machine which is sometimes taken by their classes. This throws off my chi.

This is a new gym, so they don't have everything that we're accustomed to having. I think they're working out the kinks. The GM, Jake Reo will do whatever he can to accommodate new & prospective members. He was amazing in that he ordered the one KB that I really wanted to use. If you want to join a gym in the Cherry Creek area Trufit is the place to join. It's really busy in the morning, but starts to settle down after lunch. My husband and I really respect Jake. He's kind, professional and truly does goes above and beyond to help new members! There's also a young trainer to be (he'll have his fitness certificate soon) who has been incredibly kind to my husband. My husband never wants to impose or ask for assistance, but the trainer to be has gone out of his way to speak to my husband and show him new exercises. Unfortunately, the fitness manager doesn't have the best people skills. He's not friendly or approachable, so we avoid him. Perhaps, he's too busy, aloof, or too something to help new members unless they set up an appointment. My husband asked him for help, but he wasn't willing to help, since he was in the middle of his workout. He didn't even bother to say, "Hey! Sorry, I'm in the middle of a workout can we set up a time to meet." He was rude and dismissive. Not cool. A real turn off in terms of wanting to sign up for fitness packages. Honestly, that's never happened before in any of the gyms we've belonged to. All trainers use it as an opportunity to be welcoming, supportive and of course, to network. There is one female trainer with short hair who is lovely. She is welcoming and professional! Otherwise, this gym is really great and SUPER CLEAN!! Be sure to ask for Jake Reo!

Very convenient location in Cherry Creek and the staff is awesome! The new parking lot is great and the location is perfect. The staff is always friendly and I feel like I never really have to wait for machines. Well maintained gym with great management, I highly recommend.

Tru Fit at Cherry Creek is the best in breed gym within all of Denver let alone the Cherry Creek area. The staff is always friendly, it is a clean club, and their are enough weights/equipment for all attendees even during peak hours (4-6). I've referred Tru Fit to all of my friends.

April 17, 2018 13:01

EDIT: The parking garage is now open.

Don't get me wrong, the facility is nice! However, I have 1 main complaint.

I'd suggest being VERY wary of adding someone to your contract. While it's a good deal for that person, if they decide to leave (with or without chatting to you first) TruFit will willingly cancel their additional membership, but at the cost of hiking up the price of the original plan. My original plan was ~$40/mo, but is now $70/mo. When asked about this the staff was unwilling to work on this matter and had an overall attitude that it was my fault.

The facilities are great, but often PACKED w/ people and it can be difficult to get the equipment you're after.

I did my research and picked my fitness facility based on convenience , with that being said, this company made it very inconvenient for me. Read the negative reviews, it seems like more then a few people have the same issues. Lack of customer service, parking and unpleasant experience when dealing with customer service.

New equipment , great price and lots of natural light.... love!

March 22, 2018 18:09

The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars is there's no pool and parking is a complete nightmare. Other than that, the number of dude-bros is fairly low so I don't feel unsafe at the gym. Locker rooms are nice.

UPDATE 3/22/18: currently a 2 star review. There is so much construction that a lot of the street parking is gone, and the garage is a year overdue. You can spend half of your available workout time looking for parking! This club is NOT worth the cost of membership until they get the parking situation fixed. Crapville 24hour Fitness is better.

Don't get me wrong, the facility is nice! However, I have 2 main complaints:

1. Parking was promised over a year ago when I signed my contract. To date it's still a pain point. It's typically a bit of a battle for street parking w/in 2-3 blocks in any direction of the gym. I don't mind walking most of the time, but the lack of transparency and the attitude of the staff when you ask about parking is off-putting.

Hmmmm... where to begin?? Parking was promised, but no parking yet (have to walk from cherry creek mall). No water fountains (seriously). Forgot my lock one day... no locks to rent, borrow, or buy. Paid upfront for the year, and ended up leaving town unexpectedly for an extended period of time. Tried to put my membership on hold, but they said because I paid upfront I cannot put on hold. I'd join 24 fitness before going back here:(

January 30, 2018 17:41

I love the instructors!! They have a ton of great classes, it is always clean, and they people are very friendly. Makes way more sense financially to have a membership here than at some of the boutique gyms I use to go to.

The place is big, always spotless, great equipment and a good atmosphere for working out. Steve is an amazing personal trainer.

Don't plan on joining this gym unless you want to become a LIFETIME member.

My wife recently broke her foot while hiking. While the front staff was courteous enough, she had to go through several hoops to cancel her membership since surgery was going to keep her from much activity over the next 2-3 months. Let's go through the list of excuses the staff gave her:

1. "This not isn't from your PCP. We can't accept it if it's not from your PCP."
- My wife went to the urgent care because it was an emergency on the weekend. Nowhere in the contract states a note from your PCP is required. Plus we don't have one, as our PPO insurance does not require one.

2. "We can definitely freeze your account until you recover from surgery. How about we do that?"
"No, just cancel it like I asked, thanks."

3. "My manager has to approve this, but he's currently taking a shower. Here's his business card and email address."
"That's okay, I'll wait." (Even though you didn't offer that.)

4. Once the manager came to the front, he took one look at the doctor's note and with an attitude said, "Is this current?"
This was less than two weeks ago. Yes, it's current. The date of service is clearly printed on it. And top it off, once she pointed it out to him, he said even more sarcastically "Well, I can't see your foot."

My wife is currently hobbling around in a cast until her surgery next week. Guess they should have stipulated in their contract the injury must be visible to the manager on top of being diagnosed by an MD.

We had no intention on canceling. The facility's nice, classes are offered, and we never had an issue before, but hey, things happen - People move, people get injured, etc. This is not how you treat your customers. What a bad last impression to give to people.

I not a huge fan of writing bad reviews, but this one is mandatory. Jake Reo, the club "manager", needs remedial training in customer service. My interactions with this manager have fallen far short of anything remotely positive even from the sunniest of dispositions. Based off my limited interactions with him/her/they, I would be very interested in seeing the member and employee retention percentages under such administration.

October 23, 2017 08:48

To echo what a number of other reviews have indicated. I'm sure the gym is great as far as gym services go, but as far as customer service goes and deciding not to continue your membership, they make it as difficult as you could possibly imagine and their F BBB rating is probably accurate.

My significant other and myself joined when they were running a misleading solar eclipse sale. The manager wasn't willing to honor the promotion that was sent, but he did still offer a break. We decided to move forward, verbally, with a month-to-month deal at a specific price. A couple days after that we decided to instead join the DAC and we also discovered that we were charged the full price. After nearly 30 days of trying to get an answer and confirmation of membership cancellation, we get a "Thanks for being a member. You were charged for first and last month's dues." response. Then immediately the next day charged another month's dues.

So as others here have said, if you plan on being a member for life, this may be the gym for you.

October 23, 2017 08:48

I would not recommend this gym. I moved out of state in August. The August auto draft was the last one for my year contract and the front desk told me that I didn't need to sign anything they would just make sure my membership wasn't renewed. Two months later, my membership still isn't cancelled. I have spoken with the corporate people at least five times and have been told every time that it would be resolved. Today I was charged $200 (which was about three times the amount of my membership). I called the corporate office today and the girl said they might get back to me in three days. This company does not care about customer service and no one in the company seems to have the same policies in order to make a decision or resolution.

One of the best gyms in Denver. Atmosphere has lots of positive energy, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Locker room is clean and up-to-date.

Great workout space with multiple areas for group classes, as well as specialized training. All equipment is new/newer and state of the art.

Highly recommend.

The gym just opened to the public and it's been a great experience. All new equipment, friendly staff, and there is NO gym stench!
